A few months back i got a GTP, that didn't work out to well. I bought him from an expo and his health wasn't in great shape.
I just got this new Sorong 4 year old female and was just wondering if anyone with GTP experience had any thoughts about her so i could catch any problems in advance...
When was the last time she defecated? sometimes my beardies will randomly stop eating, and then start again after going to the bathroom. If so its slight impaction, but this happens alot with beardies, not as huge as a problem than with chams.
Where are you keeping them? if it gets over 80 mine die pretty fast. i have about 3 thousand at a time and use the same food sources. Sometimes when the orange cubes aren't changed daily they tend to die, but not in large numbers
Hey, my 1 year old female veiled Amillie is up for sale. I hate to let her go, but im sure she will find a great home. I purchased her from Reptile Depot in Chatsworth California in September 08. Never had any serious health problems, and is on a steady diet of crickets superworms silkies...
thats probably even to hot
75 is there normal temp, then 80-85 right after feeding them to help digest

how hot does your house usually get?
when i lived in utah i had like 30 corn snakes and was breeding them, and they only needed heat durring the summer
now in CA there perfectly fine without it
haha sick snakes win!
my only advise is not to get it from petco or any of the other large companies...
alot of the time they have mites or other parasites, and when there sold young that easily will kill them
other than that they are really easy to take care of good luck!
I currently have both...
corn snakes were actually my first reptile a while back and they are just really chill... they almost like being held, and really they are the easiest animal ever to take care of. One got out of his cage a few months ago, and survived 2 months without food or heat until...
Honestly my chinese water dragon is even more friendly than most beardies haha
The baby's are adorable, when you first get them they are really jumpy, but the calm down fast
if you get a juvie be sure he is nice because at that age it is hard to get them out of their bad habits...
but draco...
haha nice fitting name for the bandits
you should deffinetly get the cwd! i swear there long lost brothers of beardies just a pain healthwise, but gustav always bobs his head at draco (in a non aggresive way) its pretty funny but those would be some weeeird babies
She didn't really have any reaction...
im planning on putting her back with the male wensday, hopefully this time we will have better luck
thanks for everyones help and i'll keep you posted
I tried the same kind of wash when i was trying to clean my beardies branches because crickets were hiding in them, and even completly submerjed they still found a way to survive...
Wraping the branches with plastic bags, and putting them in the freezer overnite ended up working really well...
With her color, will she only be dark when presented with a male or is this constant?
I don't have another male chameleon in my house currently so I have no clue how she would react
and yes she has a laying bin in her cage
Her feeding schedule is every other day most of thime, a mix of...
hmm i don't have any other chams at my house right now, do those colors last? i can take her to my friends house later but i really don't want to stress her out more
That was taken 2 or 3 days before he shed so his skin was a little weird, but even so when i first got him he wasn't to healthy... the place i bought him from was rediculous, they really didn't know anything about his specific type, and the care instructions they gave me were wrong....not to...
