Thanks Maurer!! i gotta check that place out when i get a chance. if anyone i ever a little closer to philly, captain nemo's aquarium http://nemosaquarium.com/ is out in montgomery county near blue bell, bout 45 min from philly. they have a decent sized reptile room (actually where i got my...
hahaha yea carl took a little time to warm up to mistings....i found warm water makes it a lot easier
yeaa aside from when i'm misting, i rarely see him drink. i've been working on getting him to drink from a syringe, but he is TERRIFIED of it lol
nah his eye is fine....he bulges them to clean them out during mistings. the first time he did it i got worried but then i realized what he was doing lol :) thank you everbody!! he certainly does enjoy his mistings...little guy looooves to drink!
finally got em on video drinking some water during a misting session. he looks a little chubby, but it's just the way he's sitting :) sound effects courtesy of myself lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTrr0zehD88
Anybody?? I live in the Philadelphia area and was wondering if there were any really good pet/reptile stores i havent been to. I feel like there aren't that many and it kinda sucks especially when it comes to getting feeder insects that i don't havta mail order.
i don't know anything about blanching and i have no experience with actual mulberry leaves, but maybe vacuum sealing and just freezing them would work. like i said i'm not sure, but i do know that food i have vacuum sealed and put in the freezer has stayed fresh for up to a year :)
butterworms maybe? they have a higher fat content as well as high calcium levels. im not too sure on whether or not they would be good for an 8 week old baby, but maybe someone else can chime in on that
yeaa mine doesnt show any interest in them either. strange side note though, about a month ago i bought 100 superworms and when i opened up the cup there were 2 pupa in there. i heard they won't pupate unless isolated, but i guess thats proof that its not always the case
I've had my monsoon for quite awhile now and am happy with it. i've had no problems with rough mist and although the timer isnt 100% accurate, its damn near close enough. i can't argue with the fact that mist king is the superior product here, but i do believe the monsoon looks alot nicer :) i...
yes i agree, whenever i mist my jacksons he does the whole eye bulge thing and rubs his eyes on the vines. within the first few days of me getting him, he did it and i got worried, but then i stopped and thought about what i would do if i got something in my eye :)
glad to hear other people like the monsoon as much as i do. i don't know why people would refer to it as a "garbage product". ive heard nothing but good things about mist king, but if you only have 1-2 cages to keep humid, i think the monsoon is an excellent choice
i own a monsoon and am quite happy with it. i have had no problems with a "rough mist" and i really like it for the single cage i have it hooked up to. have you used this product or are you just assuming?
i think at least for the time being, this is a good thing. i remember watching a video on exported animals from Africa and there were many chams being shipped in unfit conditions. dehydrated, under nourished, overcrowded etc. they showed cages literally full of them and they all looked sickly...
I never really thought about chameleons having any sort of swimming abilities (and ide never want to find out with mine!) but look at this little guy go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlCNPHYJRM0&feature=related
my sister recently bought herself a ball python from one of her friends and got a whole bunch of extra stuff with it, including a repti fogger which she gave to me (yay!) i already use an exo-terra monsoon for my cham cage, but i figured i could put it to good use, maybe use it occasionally for...
so recently i have discovered small slugs in my cham cage crawling up the sides of the plant pot. i believe they are coming out of the drainage holes on the bottom of the pot, but how did they get there? i haven't had this plant outdoors. i have removed quite a few in the past week and was...
