hey there, imo, you wont find anything that will work for chameleon terrariums under 99$, most used are promists, or our site's trusted sponsor MistKing has an awsome beginner set up for 99$ check em out
sorry, but in my opinion, no captivity home is better than the wild for w.c animals. i hate the idea of wild caught animals too. its a dirty trade and when the rest of my chameleons die, that's when i'm out of it. they are awsome amazing animals, but isnt fair to them at all that we get to rip...
hey guys, thanks for your condolences, but you guys are right. she isnt suffering nemore.
like the two posters said, it could have been old age, yes it was a wc. ive had her since around april, i bought two, but one passed a month after i had it. this little girl was alot smaller and i...
my pygmy died sometime during the night. for the last couple days, she hasnt been eating, and her two back legs weren't working, she was dragging her body, and holding on to branches with just her two front feet. from her vent down to her tail is pitch white and started turing white around the...
unfortunatly, the chams in the 2nd and 4th pic dont look too well, their eyes look quite sunken in. you need a vet :P good job on these, this is a real cool idea. if people can stuff and preserve fish and deer heads, i think stuffing a cham is a badass thing to do :)
i feel very iffy on all of those gutloads in one batch for one insect. are dates even good for chameleon intake? i know you're talking about the prune things and not the cookies lol, but i've never heard anything about using that as a gutload
very beautiful built cage you made there. i like the panel pieces on the outside and the fact that it isnt stained, it looks very great and natural. i also love the background you made. good work!
he most likely does not see the other chameleon as a threat, but her tail as food. regardless, this is not healthy for either of them for obvious reasons. like jann said, veileds and a hudge amount of other chameleons, need serperate enclosure regardless if they were brought up together or not...
i have to agree, why put him through so much care and extra stress in the condition he is already in. to make money? there are some things that just make me sick about keeping, trading, and selling exotic animals.
pms much? we dont need rudeness here on the forums. i was giving my opinion. i love how people are so against pet shop buying, but in cases like this everyone is here to help? you say he is deffinatly not a wild cham, but your title says WC? spend all the money you want on him, im not at all...
it is normal. hornworms have a hell of a grip with their pads. i've seen my cham litteraly shoot for a hornworm then get pulled almost completely off the branch, it is normal, but i dont see it being healthy
in my opinion, the best thing to do with any animal in these situations of of being injured in the wild, is just leave them alone. i would put him back outside and let nature run its cource. his advantage in human care is no advantage then being in the wild. it is better to have him free and die...
