Does anyone have a link to the female chameleon care sheet. More specifically the one that tells about controlling temps and food to prevent unnecessary clutches in panthers? Thanks!!!
Thanks for the encouragement. It is really depressing. I keep questioning myself about what i can do differently to get them to live. I have been feeding them fruit flies. Maybe I should switch to pinheads?
I had gotten some eggs from someone who pretty much neglected all their chameleons when they got bored with them. All of their chameleons died from neglect besides the eggs and one male I rescued from this person.
The eggs started hatching and everything was great. Unfortunately around 3...
I have a panther chameleon that is about 2 1/2 years old. He was very neglected, but has become almost 100% within the last few months.
Lately he has be sitting at the bottom of his cage. He tried to climb up (ignores the vines) the sides of the cage, but he doesn't seems to have a strong...
Hmmm I don't think he does. He did visit a vet a couple months ago, but he said other than being underweight he did not show signs of Metabolic bone disease. Maybe it is just the angle of the video? Here is a link to a thread I started with a lot of pictures of his progress. Let me know what...
I have outdoor cages and indoor cages. My indoor cages are much too big to move lol. I put them on my hands and carry them to the outdoor cages daily (and vice versa). The male pictured can be taken in public ect, very docile. My younger ones get a little more stressed, but are getting used...
WARNING GRAPHIC (got to get that disclaimer out of the way on a feeder anole) Got a lot of flack for this picture, but.....yeah...I'll post it again, because I am a butt like that. So I would have to say nope on cagemates.
You would poop yourself if you saw the giant females I normally feed my 3yo male. Yummy Egg sacks! In all seriousness, as long as they are willing to eat them, and can down them fast I believe they are fine. Haven't had issues yet.
I used to be really into marine aquariums. I currently do not have any running, but i run an aquarium maintenance business. I do have a 65 gallon and metal halides sitting in the garage.....hmmmmmmmm
My 3 yo male used to be really scared. Even bit me once. Locked his jaws and wouldn't let go lol Now he is the most laid back docile thing ever. I even took him to my daughters 4th grade class and to a pet store once, because he seriously doesn't even care lol My two 4mo olds will run...
Here is my 4mo female for comparison. You seem like you are doing the basics of feeding and lighting right. I feed my chams roaches though, but you would think it wouldn't make too much of a difference. I would assume as long as she is eating/pooping/active she is fine. Maybe she will go...
