I am in no way an expert, but I've had my little guy since he was 3 1/2 months old and he's a year now and doing great(male panther morph cross). But the idea of making the big cage smaller the way you are describing sounds like an awsome idea to me, i don't see why it would be too big at...
Thank you!!! This little guy just continues to amaze me! I tried to get him to "fire up" in front of a mirror to see those colors, but he's so chill about everything that he just looked in the mirror like, "yea mom, I know I'm hot..." lol Just checked himself out with zero reaction lol:p
I agree with this. I have also noticed that my boy won't eat very much during a shed a little afterwards, so don't panic if this happens! Of course you want them to eat as much as possible when they are little, but some days they just arn't interested. They are on their own schedual for food...
So I was hearing that crickets eat the bug burger better if it's dry instead of made with water. I never would have even thought of this! I put dishes with the wet and one with the dry, and they LOVE it dry! The crickets won't even touch the wet with the dry mix in there. I also have moisture...
My cage has a removable solid bottom that I lined with a fish tank background and I drilled small holes in the bottom to let the water drain into a tray that fits on the bottom of my cage that I also drilled a hole with a bulkhead I attached a piece of tubing that runs under the stand through...
Okay I might get one of those :) thanks for the input, I've only had a reptibreeze for his baby cage, and I wasn't impressed with it...just the act of moving it around made it come loose.
Welcome! I'm also kind of a newbie :) been in the hobby for eight months now. My little guy is a panther cross who is going on 11 months now. There is so much valuable information on here! You came to the right place!
I totally understand the "freak out" when you catch them sleeping early lol I've done it tons of times since I've gotten Loki(he's my first) but now all I do is check everything, make sure it's in range, if he's eating and drinking and looking well, he must be okay right? I know they are good at...
Is this the first time he's done this, or has he been sleeping early a lot? I know that my boy Loki(male panther cross) will sleep early if he's had a very active day(like the earliest I've seen him sleep is 3:30 or 4:00 and his lights don't go off until 6:30) But he's normally in sleeping...
