I'm sure I could figure something out but mounting the light would make a new problem. It would drastically change the basking spot temperature which isn't very warm at 79 right now.
Yesterday I got a 4-5 month old male veiled.
1. Today Oscar started climbing up on the screen roof under the light. He's done it twice and both times I've taken him off for fear of him being burned. The basking spot is about 79 to 80 the middle of the cage is about 70.
2. My 2nd worry...
I put some crickets in his cage but I don't think he's eaten any. I sprayed his cage earlier, and he moved from his basking spot to the leaves but I didn't see him drink any.
Are the brownish spots on him normal?
Veiled Chameleon stress Colors????
Just got my Chameleon today, he is a male around 4-5 months old. Are these brown spots normal or stress colors?
So I've been looking around every where about what a veiled chameleon cage temperature should be at, and I keep finding tons of different answers. So what temperature should the basking spot be? And what spot should the middle of the cage be at?
Its for a male Veiled chameleon who Is 4 to 5 months old. I got the 20 watt 24 inches.

I'm getting a male Veiled this weekend:D, and need some help thinking of names. I like creative names.
For example I currently have a leopard Gecko named Apollo, and had a bearded dragon named Iggy.
Yep, getting him this weekend. Its a 4 to 5 month old veiled male. :D
The only thing I won't have when I get him is the UVB light bulb, and that's suppose to come in on Monday.
I can't find a 24 inch UVB 5.0 Light that is cheaper than $30
Would this hood work for the heat light and the UVB bulb?
