Thanks for all the info guys :)
My last big question right now is how many would be suitable for a tank that size, for frogs or crested geckos? I don't want any surprise babies so I'd rather not get any females but I know males are likely to fight if there are multiples in one area. Should I...
It is the long exo terra one, yes. I'll put up an image of it. Sorry for the weird angle :p
I've looked up on the crested geckos a bit and they seem pretty cool. I'm not sure about set up though, anyone have recommendations on what type of floor is best and food? I've seen people using moss...
I've been thinking leopard geckos maybe, I want something that I won't get sick easily because I can't really afford taking multiple animals to the vet. I know things can always go wrong with any animal though.
Also sorry I just noticed this is probably in the wrong section :o
I have a glass terrarium (36x18x18) that I'm not using since my cham was moved into a screen cage. Any suggestions on a good pet suited for this? I know it's not good for chams and I'd like something that is pretty easy to care for.
Right now I am putting about 8 crickets in his feeder cup a day. He eats like 4 then comes back later and eats the rest. Should i give him more or is 8 enough? I don't want to make him fat by giving him too many a day :p
He is a veiled, around 6 months old. He eats in the morning, usually...
thanks :D i have a good size pothos so im thinking of splitting it up into smaller ones and hanging a couple from the top but it depends on how much room pots are going to take :p
Thanks for the info everyone, and yes it was a serious question :(
I think it was an employee at the pet store I go to said I needed to put flowers in his cage so he could start "learning" different colors. I don't at all rely on them to give me valuable information but I figured I would ask...
I heard younger chameleons have to sort of learn different colors. If this is true, could i just put some different colors of paper pieces in the cage or does it need to be actual flowers and such?
I'm going to be moving my veiled into a screen cage soon and I am not sure if I should cup feed to let them roam free? He is only eating crickets at the moment, a meal worm every once in a while. I don't want crickets escaping all over my room but won't they just jump out of the cup anyway? I...
I've been looking into a good and cheap screen cage for my veiled chameleon and have found a few great sites but which would be better, plastic coated aluminum or cloth mesh?
How does everyone water and feed their pets in a screen cage? I'm afraid he will have trouble hunting his crickets in...
I greatly appreciate the help, i don't mean to sound rude or anything about it all, just trying to understand exactly. I'm a first time reptile owner so just learning as I go, i'm sorry I have so many questions.
The calcium i have has no phosphorus or D3 so i'll definitely start using it...
