Thanks guys. Here's an updated pic of my Parsons. Actually, the reason I'm posting the pic is I want to get a few more opinions. It's starting to look more like a male to me. Do you guys concur???
Yeah, none of my chams like the misting too much, but they all seem to endure it.
In addition to the misting, I have several drip lines over several parts of the cage running for 2 hours in the morning and 2hours in the late afternoon. This is to keep the humidity up and give him ample places...
Yes I was thinking that too. Even though the branches can easily support him now, I doubt so when he's full grown.
It's kind of hard to see because of all the leaves but I have some sandblasted grape vines and branches hanging in the cage now. I plan on buying a lot more at the next reptile...
Hello everyone,
So I finally finished putting together my Parsons' outdoor cage together. His name is Sling-Blade, by the way. It's a powder-coated metal outdoor aviary measuring approximately 7'x5'x6'. The cage is located in a very well shaded part of my yard. It doesn't get much direct...
Are they curling and turning brown only near the top of the plant and near your basking lamp? If so then the bulb is burning the leaves. I'd just let those leaves die off and the the rest of your plant should be ok.
Hello everyone,
My female Nosy Be laid her first infertile clutch a couple weeks ago so I thought I'd introduce my male Nosy be to her for the first time today. She was receptive to him, but he didn't seem interested. He climbed on the branches around her for a little bit and then went off...
My Nosy Be girl laid her first infertile clutch 2 days ago and I thought all went well other than it being a small clutch - 10 eggs. But the last two days I've seen 2 or 3 eggs at the bottom of her cage each day. She obviously didn't lay all her eggs. She seems fine though. She's been eating...
well after spending the night sleeping on the soil near her eggs, she finished covering the hole back up this morning. Anyway, SUCCESS!!! Her first clutch of 9 infertile eggs!
Is it kind of a small clutch?
How long should I wait before I introduce her to her mate? Should I let her...
Ok, great. Thanks for the reply. I see her now. It looks like she has filled most of her deep hole in. There's still an indent in the soil about an inch deep and she's laying in it. I just turned the lights off. Hopefully she successfully laid the eggs. I'll check on her in the morning.
Hi everyone,
My little Nosy Be girl is laying infertile eggs for the first time. I'm a little worried because she is a little young. I have a couple questions:
1. How long does the process usually last? She's been at it for about 2 hours now. She's deep within her hole right now...
Thanks everyone!
Yes, I was very impressed with Dr.Greek's practice. Is the nicest vet I've been too. Unfortunately, he's about an hour away from me without traffic and that's the never the case in LA. It actually took me over an hour and a half getting to my appointment because it was a...
Hey everyone,
Well I took my Parsons to the vet today for the first time. I've had it about 2 weeks now and I wanted to get a checkup and fecal test done on it. I'm happy to say it passed with flying colors. No parasites in the fecal test and the vet, Dr. Greek, said he was super healthy...
That's great to know. I'm taking it to the vet on Friday for a checkup and fecal test so I'll have more detailed info on it. I'll keep you updated.
I'm definitely in the market for a partner for mine too after seeing yours playing together. I don't want mine to grow up being lonely. After I...
Awesome pictures Roy! It's great seeing the siblings of my Parsons. I wonder which are related to mine? Anyway, keep the pictures coming. We'll have to document the growth of our Parsons!
