No need for the night light :) Chameleons like to have a temperature drop at night. That's when they know to go down to find a good spot to sleep. Can you possibly get a picture of his full enclosure?
Its from them gripping/grabbing the screen... You can put plastic snow fencing inside of the cage to deter the nails from getting into the tiny holes from the screen.
So I have never been to the Taylor Michigan show and was wondering what people had to say about it? As vendors or just to look. We (Great Lakes Chameleons) got a table for the February 8th show and are really excited to have the opportunity to attend. We will have some Red & Blue Bar's there...
I'm going to be attending the show as well. We have a show that we will be vending in Kalamazoo MI on Saturday and then Sunday we are planning on making it to the show. I'm going with every finger and toe crossed that there will be an adult Ambanja. We are looking to expand out breeder localities!:D
Congrats!! Our first hatched out about 3 weeks ago. Still have 7 eggs left with 12 babies. You better get some Fruit Flies asap. Try Josh's tree frog. Good luck!
A couple tips on the dripper.
*make sure to use lukewarm water. (not to hot/cold) Sometimes water can be too cold for them and then they stay away from the drippers.
*Have it so the dripper is dripping onto leaves or a vine. Give it a "running" affect.
*Let it run for a couple hours.

No, I haven't. Just panthers and Jacksons. But, you can use the search option and see who has posted threads about them. There is so much info just by doing old searches for things.
yeah, with those species, they really need to be in a screen cage (unless 4 months or younger). It is best to do as much research on the proper care for a chameleon is you have never had one before. They need a lot of special care but once you get it down its pretty easy. Jacksons are a montaine...
So we have had a good experience so far with our babies! We have 12 babies with 7 more eggs left to hatch. Most of the eggs are shrinking and look like they are going to pop any day! We have split the babies up into two tanks because of sizes. Seems to be a good move because of food competition...
We live in Michigan and we just had our first clutch hatch in 6.5 months (panthers). We kept our incubator (Zoo Med Reptibator) in the closet and it worked great. We had it at 79/80 degrees and set at 80% humidity. We added water a couple times to the hatchrite. Good luck.
I agree with Kate, maybe a baby. You could also look into the Pygmy Species (the only breed that it is acceptable to keep in a glass terrarium/viv also the only breed that you can have substrate with that doesn't cause health problems if properly taken care of). They are pretty cheap and from...
Maybe he is just confused and doesn't know how to express his excitement. Or he could be asexual. I have a male who is just not interested in breeding.
