Again, can you cool his room down 10 degrees?

    Am i dusting them right?

It's really better if they are not "white"...but maybe you might want to add a bit more to the bag. It's hard to get to "too much" but it's really easy to get to "too little" so err on the side of more.

    Oh no!

He'll be fine. Just turn the lights on as normal and pretend it never happened.

    I need parent's opinion...

As a mother of a soon to be 18 year old I'll just say that my husband and I decided not to get these shots for our daughter. Our reasons were pretty much what you articulated ChamomilleCame. But, I'm not your Mom and to some extent, you have to realize she is still the one charged with making...

My Family Might Be Going To Madagascar Without Me

If you decide you need to stay know that it was the right decision. If you feel bad leaving, you cannot enjoy the trip. A vacation is something to be enjoyed not suffered through.

new to the forums and i need help very badly

I love my reptarium. One thing I do suggest: build a bit of support in addition to the PVC frame. You can find this stuff: at most garden supply places. Run a few pieces in each direction on the top, on the sides, on the back. That will give you places to hang plants, feeder cups...

I strongly suggest you start a thread in the health forum (fill in the form!).

    Temperature?

Can you cool the room down? Are you really comfy with 75 at night? Wouldn't you like it to be more like 65?

The Reptarium 38 gallon is approximately that size (16.5" x 16.5" x 30") and is available from LLL Reptile for $29.99. http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/reptile-supplies/reptariums-and-reptarium-accessories/-/38-gallon-basic-reptarium/

    Heeeeeelp!!!

Sometimes there are things wrong with critters that defy "doing everything right". Hopefully a vet can help get things back on track.

Is he eating...? New owner, please help!

Are there ventilation holes near the bottom? Typically that's what happens in a terrarium: small holes along the front, near the bottom, screened top. If that's the case there should be enough ventilation. I'm assuming the infrared bulb is for night use. You should not use any light source...

    Heeeeeelp!!!

If you haven't already turned his lights off, you might want to put folded up towels on the bottom of the cage just in case he falls again.

    Urgent! Please help!

I think the idea is that they won't ship if there's a chance that the package might not get delivered because of the weekend. Most places I've bought from ship Mon-Wed only. So, yes, if you order past the last shipping day (or even late that day because there is processing time) your order...

    Odd Odor?

My guess is it's the cricket poop. Though, root rot is right up there. As far as I can tell, chameleons do not smell. I'm pretty smell sensitive so I feel pretty confident in saying that any smell is not the animal's fault.

    Scared of misting

I've had my best luck with a garden sprayer like this: http://www.sears.com/chapin-sure-spray-garden-sprayer/p-07110558000P?sid=IDx01192011x000001 When I tried the smaller pump bottle sprayers they always ended up dripping water in addition to spraying it. It was strange. This works and is...

    Grabbing onto himself...

As others have said, if it's a one time thing, it's not a problem, but if you are noticing it happening daily or repeatedly during the day, it's a problem. About the only things I can suggest trying are getting a new UVB bulb. They start to drop off after 3 months, though you should be able to...

    Grabbing onto himself...

Please complete the "how to ask for help" form. https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ Click that link, copy the questions, paste into a reply and add your answers. Sadly, historically, grabbing oneself is an indicator of MBD, as you know. It's an EARLY indicator. That you are...

That's true, when they are asleep they are very light and a flash light might well catch them.

Is it true some chams don't like red

I've read that RED is a "fighting color" for panthers, at least...if they are red they are ready to fight, so if they see red they think "that's someone ready to fight". I've theorized that red reads as "bird" to chameleons (note how this is my theory, not something I've seen discussed). As...
