I love using live plants in all my chameleon cgaes and tanks. I HATE! I repeat, HATE! Cleaning out the petrolite! It takes FOREVER!!! Sorry I had to get that out of my system.
It's a good start but it's only the start right? My Rudis girls live in a custom cage I put together. I took 2 16x16x20 repteriums and combined them to make a 32x16x20. If you look on my profile its the setup under my panther cage. Lots of plants. My girls are very shy as almost all Rudis that...
So I received my first panther the other day. Bc I'm a Pygmy breeder I'm not use to the "normal" for panthers. Everything seems to be fine with him except one thing. He won't eat. The previous owner said he fed him last in sat or sun. I got him yesterday and he won't eat. I left a cup w crickets...
Hello Everyone!
So as most people know I've been breeding Pygmies for years. Well I just got my first panther the other day. I said I would post a picture so it's at the bottom. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple questions. First off he is a little over 1 1/2. The original...
I know I normally wait like 6-7 months before introducing new females to their colony but I put her in at 5 months and she layed at 6 1/2. A little too early. I blame it on myself.
So I just got back from a private meeting where I wad offered a Male 1 1/2 yo Nosy Be for my young male Rudis. Sounds crazy right? Well it's one of my friends that breeds Rudis's. So I went to go see the panther and he's super friendly. He crawls right up onto ur arm and doesn't want to get off...
As long as I have been breeding pygmies I have never once had one play dead. I know that they can but they wouldn't do it randomly. They would have to be extremely scared to do that. And it doesn't last very long if they were to okay dead. I'm sorry about ur loss. I just had a female die days...
I totally agree. I started a thread on Petco for the same reason not too long ago. You can't stop them. You can only hope to contain them. The sad thing is that PetSmart is a main sponsor of the Reptile Super Show.
Thank you everyone for your sympathy.
Not so much tricky but can be fragile at times depending on the Cham, as each has their own personality and they tend to be housed in groups which takes more observation to understand each one.
I did check there. I just wanted to know if anyone on here did. I have better relations with people on this forum, so I thought I would see if anyone here had any info. Thanks though.
Here are some of mine...
The collar piece says "I Live And Die For Those I Love"
I have a back piece that is still in progress so I can't show an unfinished piece...
Has anyone ever bought any reptiles from Underground Reptiles? They have some chams that I want and none of the sight sponsors offer any right now. So I was thinking of ordering from them but I just wanted to know if anyone has any info on if they are reputable dealers? Any help would be greatly...
I was thinking of doing that today.
So your from the G? That's right here, I'm from North Torrance. It's nice to see more cham hobbiest from the South Bay.
I already emailed them and got no response. So I called and they said give them a week to find out. I need to set up my cage ASAP. I don't want to have to change it only my chams get in.
The tray doesn't fit the same size DIY cages though.
