    Baytrill

I couldn't make it to Dr. Anderson. I got my appt time screwed up so I went to an exotic vet here in largo who actually knew a lot about cham's. He preferred not to do baytril injections because he believed the infection can be cleared with the oral baytrill. As soon as I got home he gobbled...

    Baytrill

Best way to orally administer baytrill? Vet recommended grabbing it behind the neck and holding it. But that seems super stressful for 10 days

    Dilemma

Yes Juli. He was doing fine until I moved him inside and it got cold. That and too much humidity did it I believe. Will I have to give him fortaz injections? I can barley take a needle myself.

    HELP!! eye probleme

Trash the compact florescent. He can go a few days without it. CFL's can cause serious eye problems and it usually starts with one eye and then its both. Buy a reptisun 5.0 or 10.0 linear bulb. Glad we caught this in time. These bulbs are blinding chameleons plain and simple.

    Dilemma

My boy mitch has slowly developed a URI. Im 99 percent sure. I took him to the vet about a month ago when he started sneezing/coughing and tilting his head up at some points. The vet cleared him and said there was no redness no excessive mucus etc. Now I did not get her experience on cham's...

Cold weather in FL: How do I keep my veiled warm?

It froze here in the tampa bay area last night.. Got down to 19degrees in some areas up north. Nothing better than burning christmas trees on the beach at 3 in the morning.

    Took Ocelot to the Vet...

You need to remind this guy that cham's are primarily insectivores and if he wants his veiled to have a life longer than a year, than to stop feeding pinky's every other day. I wouldn't be surprised if his or her cham has already developed some health issues.

    Took Ocelot to the Vet...

Im not arguing that it didn't cause a growth and energy spurt because Im sure it did. Im simply questioning his diet ethics pertaining to chameleon's. He said he fed his panther 3 pinky's in a week and that "whoever said it was bad for them then I don't know." This statement means that he has...

    Took Ocelot to the Vet...

This tells me that you have no idea what your doing. I think you need to do some reading about a chameleon's diet and overall life.
