OK...so I checked on the eggs...she laid them on 9-19, 37 of them.
there were 9 that has shrunk/collapsed....
I took the pics on a white paper towel so that their color showed.
What is the verdict?
Are they viable/fertile?
Hey Everyone!
Simone is doing fine, she finally made if over the hump & is active & eating & giving us all the evil eye again!
I have a question... I got a light fixture for a great price, (needed a new cord) & they threw in a Repti Sun 2.0 15W 18" long bulb. (geez, I just took it out of the...
Simone not a male, duh
I am having soooo many new adventures with her...
Another quick thought:
The local reptile vet is the one who they took her to with the broken pelvis...
and yet the people at the store were not told she was a female... geez...makes me wonder who knows what they are...
Poke a hole in it? hmmmm... & I thought it was weird to decapitate the superworms (I was told they might bite the inside of her mouth & make her not want to eat them) any particular place I should poke a hole so they won't die right away & she will still be interested in them? (I can't believe I...
Simone eating again & eggs
OK, here's the update, I called the Vet's office to ask a few questions & to get a rough estimate of costs...after talking to them I noticed that Simone had started eating... she zapped a cricket while I was watching (she would not eat the ones in the container) & had...
Simone & vet visit
I will be calling the Vet's office in the AM, a local Vet who the pet store said they took her to with the broken pelvis....
I am still upset about that guy @ "Reptile Guys"...i am going to post a review of his attitude on a local site fro customers of places.
I know I have...
No one available today
The man @ "the Reptile Guys" said they usually die after laying an infertile clutch. Said I shouldn't have gotten a female and spoke to me like I am an idiot.

thowing up
this morning I got up to find Simone eating a meal worm & she has eaten a butter worm. I was giving Simone some water with beef broth with an eyedropper this morning & gave her a couple of phoenix worms which she was acting interested in. she seemed OK & then she started to...
worse now
omg....she just pooed again..this time it was all the worms she ate since yesterday...whole... with blood & mucus....I think she is on her way out...:(
looking for any help.
Simone is not eating on her own.
First of all, here is Simone's info:
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, Female, unsure of her age because I adopted her at petco. They said "he" was about year old. I've had her for about 6 weeks
Feeding - 6 to 8 small crickets...
Hi again all!
I was looking for a bit of advice about Simone's eating habits.
Since she is only ~9" long, are adult crickets too big for her? I had just been putting the crickets in her habitat for her to hunt & eat, but since laying eggs, she hasn't been too interested in eating much. I put...
Today I took her out for some sunshine time. She of course gave me grief when I took her out of her enclosure. & turned dark. Lol but once we got outside, she lightened up and other than hissing @ my dogs, she seemed real happy and relaxed. She was not happy when I tried to put her back in her...
OK, so I figured Simone was all done egg laying last Monday, but this morning I noticed another egg on the bottom of the habitat, & I know that wasn't there before. Is this common?
Also, here is a picture of her awake. How do her legs look?
Sue
I just did a measurement of the blue blanket she was stretched out on in the one picture.
she is between 8"-9" long, tail included...she is small...I wonder if the reason for the broken pelvis was MBD & an aggressive male when mating.
of course all this egg thing could explain her recent...
Hey, I have to give credit to my Welsh Terrier (Buster) he alerted me to something going on with Simone...once I addressed it & got her a laying bin, he was not frantically acting to her & her habitat.
So I guess he is the midwife...
