New York state requires a permit to have a ferret.
Real hard to get approved tho... name, address, permit fee. lol
As long as you pay them you csn have as many as you want....no questions about their health care, feeding, nothing.
The last couple of packages I had shipped were marked "hold at Post Office for pick-up" mainly due to the colder weather, but you could probabaly have them marked that way & get them at the local Post Office...
CONGRATS!
I wouldn't trade Simone, & I know she has some problems, but getting better all the time.
But I do feel jealous of everyone's babies & how active & exploratory they are.
He looks like he is traveling with a purpose!!
& too cute!
collar & leash
Simone is always mad cause my hair is too short to get a good grip. So she usually tries my ears/glasses, or just goes straight up the lips & nose. *ouch*
Now a nice studded collar or a choke collar would be just the ticket. lol
of course a retractable leash would make...
You are doing everything right, many adults get somehting without thought as to what it will need. A tip, if finding calcium without D3 is a problem, except over the 'net, you can get cuttlebone (for birds) almost anywhere & grind it up. Usa a mortar & pestle, or a cheap small grinder, washed...
It was mentioned in this link:
http://raisingkittytheveiledchameleo...le-veiled.html
but their temperatures were higher, so I am trying to figure out how to do that with one UVB tube & one "regular"
I may have to get a bigger fixture since I onloy seem to be able to find 14W bulbs that are...
OK, so here's the scoop, It was recommended that I use 2 fluorescent bulbs instead of the one UVB tube & a basking light, (to keep er a bit cooler to prohibit egg laying)
I have a 15" 2 bulb fixture & in it I have the reptiglow 5.0 UVB bulb & a regular
15" fluorescent tube. But this morning...
OK so after a panic, She looked the usual when I got home. But I am replacing the fixture with the double bulb one. What wattage do you usually use for the regular bulb?
The first link suggestes no basking light but a double tube fixture with a uvb bulb & a regular tube florescent. is this best? she likes to sit under her basking bulb, a 60w soft light bulb, but she also sits under the 5.0 UVB light (alternating between the 2)
I'll see how she is doing tonight...
Simone laid an infertile clutch of 37 eggs on Sept 19, I looked at her over the weekend & she seems well, but darker & grouchier than usual & she has a bump above & slightly behind her rear leg. Is this an egg? I forgot to take a pic, but will tonight, I put her laying bin back in this AM just...
I ordered some & have been feeding it to Simone for about 2 weeks now. I add a little Dino Fuel in the dusting container. I also feed the Dino Fuel to my crickets who crowd the bottle cap to get at it.
Simone seems to love it (the Repashy smells fruity) & after an initial pause after the...
I am so glad I took all the free range info to heart & got Simone's "Jungle".
She is always wanting to be out in it, & has started to turn on her one vine & lift one foot when I come in. (of course she stil hisses at me when I reach in ...lol) not only does she climb & move more, but this...
I adopted her and after lots of people here looked at her pics, she definitely has/had MBD. I have her under a New Tube UVB light & good supplements. So I have stopped any progression of the disease. I try to get her as much exercise as possible.
Thanks to everyone who notices & asks, it's...
The funny thing was when she hissed as I put in the cup (she figured it out & emptied it quickly), Buster ran over to her habitat & looked into it for her...lol
Today I put Simone's new jungle into the living room.
I got it at salvation army...a real steal...
after showering it off in the shower, she loves it!
It was a task getting it in. (It's taller than I am)
