    CRiiCKEtt TAKE OVER!!!

I have to deal with escapees often enough, but I just moved my sub speaker box for my computer closer to the cham cages, keep some cricket crack under the box and if I ever need a cricket I can lift up the speaker and usually find 3-5 chillin using the speaker for warmth.

    I've created a monster!

So it has been beautiful here in central Wisconsin for the past few weeks. I been laying around outside reading and chillin with Samson so he can catch some real sun rays and he LOVES it! Sadly, he cannot be outside all day long, I have no outdoor cage (yet?) and work during the last half of...

    Towels at the Bottom?

Yeah I started with paper towels too and it just got too messy. The towels would get damp and start gettin all stank. You really are better off with nothing at the bottom, we are not kidding with you. I had a humidity problem during the winter, I covered 3 sides of my cage with plastic...

    Napping After Eating

My guy did this for a little bit too, it got me concerned so I started a thread much like yours. My case was that he would close one eye towards the bulb when he took a really hard basking angle on his perch. I always thought of it like this: He is basking and digesting and trying to conserve...

    Kamikaze?

Sounds like my female Cleo, the first time I had to weigh her she ran off my hand and fell into my open sock drawer luckily enough. Ever since then I moved the scale closer to the cage so I can weigh her. Keep trying to get them to snatch a snack out of your hand. Cleo is a tough cookie and...

    staying next to UVB?

Its possible, I am amazed at the things Samson is able to pick up and observe when he is outside, from birds and airplanes high in the sky to squirrels running around the grass. A lot of chameleons will put on their brightest, most intimidating colors when they see another male. Is your guy...

my red yellow jackson i think shes a xanth

What a great looking creature. I want a jacksons....someday once I get a little more room. I too think I see another cham in that photo, either way Jacksons tend to be more communal than other cham species but that is not always the case, they are so damn individual you just never know.

    heat pad for dubias

This is what I was using for mine. I came home from work one day and smelled burning plastic, turns out my heat pad went nuts and got super hot and put a small hole in my roach bin, Im just glad I caught it in time to prevent a roach escape or even a house fire. After that happened I read the...

What is wrong with my dubia

Hmmm so it sounds like you can have too many males for your breeding females? I wasn't aware of that. Maybe I should pull a few males out and feed them to "Big Beardy" My homies bearded dragon, that'll teach them to mess with my females. Is there a certain ratio anyone has noticed that works...

I personally don't think he is "too" skinny, he's skinny just like I am, the perfect kind.

    Whippin up eggs!

So Cleopatra is now just over 9 months old. She is an Ambanja and yesterday she weighed in at 52g. I have weighed her every other Sunday since I got her and she is currently up 3-5g above her projected weight and I have given her no increase in food. 2 weeks ago she went into her new 2x2x4...

    Incoming panthers help?

Always looking for an excuse to toss around your monster? But to the OP, I would say that there are a lot of chams out there to choose from. I know what you mean about being painstakingly attentive to details, I am the same way. What did you ask this guy about how he raised his chams...

    Mist King Seconds timer.

So I have had my Mist King set up since Sept. when I first got Samson, at that time I also purchased the timer that comes with it. The other day I woke up and thought my cage was unusually dry, upon inspection it would appear that the seconds timer was no longer working. Has anyone had this...

    Pretty sure she's pregnant.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQLg8xjrtJc I saw some videos of live birthing chams that drop them in trees but the birthing membrane is super sticky and they get stuck on teh first thing it touched.

where to get reptisun light from?

I never found any Repti-Sun at any pet stores, just Repti-Glo. I use the latter as they are easier to find in the area. E-bay is always worth a look though, I scored a Repti-Sun 5.0 for my free range for 99 cents plus $4 shipping.
