    Still no eggs!!

Well she turned an unusual color. I did a few posts about it and the general consensus was that she was gravid. As I said earlier I am still new to the female egg laying aspect. Here is a link to the pics from the first day she showed these colors...

    Still no eggs!!

Nope I didn't mate her, this batch is infertile. Her eyes are good, I caught her drinking the other day, she still eats very well, today was feeding time and she took out 5 adult crickets and 2 silkworms. My laying bin is a blue recycle container that I filled with a bunch of moist play...

    Still no eggs!!

On July 3rd my female started throwing off gravid coloration for the first time. She has continued with the color even today, I can tell she has eggs in her but she has shown no interest in her laying bin or even the plants that are in the cage. I'm starting to get a little worried, I feel she...

Don't discount it though, my Samson has a "cough" of sorts since around 8 months I would hear during times of the day. It never sounded like much but did get more frequent and heavier if you will, now he is 19months and I took him to the vet a while back who diagnosed him with an RI and we been...

    Minneapolis/Madison Cham vets?

Hey there everybody. I am curious if any of you cham keepers in the Madison or Minneapolis area can recommend a great cham vet for me. I have had my male Sambava for over a year now and the past few months I do believe he is still fighting an RI infection. I recently took him to the closest...

    Cleopatras new color!

I am bumping this thread because I am a little concerned. I posted this on day 1 of the gravid coloration. As of today she still hasn't laid or even showed interest in doing so. I'm not sure what it could be but I am growing more concerned, I would hate to have anything happen with her. I am...

what are the sines for a cold?

I don't agree with this statement. If I remember correctly can't over supplementation lead to calcification of organs and edema? I also remember reading that too much D3 can lead to tongue problems. But to help with the OPs question. Chameleons don't get colds the way humans do, when they...

Cham eating me out of house and home

Sup fellow Wisconsinite! I tried breeding crickets, it was a messy, stinky hassle. The constant care and cleaning I needed to do for them left me feeling like I paid way more attention to the feeders than the chameleons. It's not terrible but wasn't what I was interested in. I bought a...

    Is this normal behavior?

You may have well hit the cham jack pot man. From the sounds of it your cham is in a glass enclosure? Make sure you watch your temps/ humidity. It could be less than ideal for it which would be why it wants out?

    Vacation...What to do

If they are willing to feed them make sure to show them how much calcium dust to use on the feeders and which ones. It's an easy thing to overlook.

how do you make beach drift wood safe?

I am not sure if its applicable but when cooking, most foods need to be heated to an internal temp of at least 155 to kill off most bacteria for 15 seconds, so I am sure if you can reach that mark it should be safe.

crickets : how many to order?

I was in your boat with my 1st Cham. I wanted to set up a nice cricket colony and yadda yadda. I ended up spending just as much time as I did with my crickets as I did Samson. I stopped buying so many crickets for a few reasons. I just didnt need to have so many crickets in my house. They...
