i believe it happens by will of the chameleon, when shes ready shes ready. if ever ready again at all. ive experienced a female or two that would never be bred again, but those usually went on to produce retained clutches
she looks mighty tiny to be gravid. i dont see any noticable bulges indicating egg retention. and just a thought, if infact she is gravid, she may not like the soil? some chameleons are picky about egg laying terrain/substrate.
