Taking your cham on a road trip yourself would is way better than how most of them get shipped in boxes trust me just because it says fragile or whatever on it shippers still flip and mistreat the boxes. as for your pet on base they probably wont allow it but you can bring it on post no one goes...

From what ive seen on these forums this definitely doesnt look normal, how long have you had him? To me seems like maybe a birth defect or maybe some kind of infection that can probably be flushed out or fixed with a vet visit but im no expert.
