well you could pop the crickets in the fridge for a little while before you offer them to your cham. Being cold slows crickets right down and would give you cham a better chance of catching them.
I am still quite squeamish but it has gotten better with time LOL. I found that disposable gloves (or thin plastic buttie bags over my hands) helped when having to deal with the critters because I could not stand them touching me! I am and have always been OK with wax worms - these should only...
Wow that is really cool! Very impresive results. Do you use the exact same salsa mix every time or do you vary it depending on what is available? In some gutloads such as the one at adcham they use all kinds of stuff egg, powdered milk, nuts etc (presumably to get the mix of nutrients right...
I have never tried feeding worms to a cham!
I have also never heard of beaver fever????? Do you have a link to information please. Oh and what part of the world do you find this?

i was just wondering if there was any kind of reference on the colour changing of chameleons? Somthing which actually shows you the different colour changes and various dialects of species - their possible meanings in the various conditions and situations? Wow now that would be fantastic! :p
yes i am a bit confused on this issue also and would love to hear what other veiled cham owners prefer. i have read that 40% humidity is the best for veileds but this does seem very low to me with the amount of misting that is recomended. certaily after misting the humidity is higher sometimes...
she has never seen a male but when gravid her spots darken slightly and they also darken sometimes when outside in the sunshine! Her overal bright green colour never changes though LOL.
I was just wondering if anyone had come across a chameleon who did not have the abuility to change colour? My female veiled has never ever gone dark? The only colour change that I have found is that her spots go darker! Apart from that she developed orangy stripes when she was gravid the first...
the picture in this post is no longer available. Does anyone have a similar picture or a link to one for me to see please? My new cham has what I think is a dead end to his tail and a lighter part just above it which be part of a bad shed I guess.
