Did you feed any silkies or hornworms lately? I think the chameleons poop is sometimes runny because of hydration or something along the lines of that. If this has happened on numerous occasions then I would be worried, but if this is the first time then just take it easy and see if it happens...
There is some sort of odd fascinating beauty about these chameleons in particular that makes them truly breathtaking. You are incredibly lucky to have one of these guys. He looks awesome.
I am exactly the same way. I watch my chameleon eat every morning and it is always as fascinating to watch as it was the day before if not more fascinating. I am pretty sure a lot of other members are the same as well. :D
I heard that starving them for a small amount of time helps. I think as long as you're cham is healthy they can go quite a while without food. I think you can also put some crickets in there and refuse the cham anyother food. The cham will then just go for the crickets when it is hungry. Also...
So the top is not covered at all? Or will the screen, or some such, be the cover? I would recommend some sort of cover if you are not planning to use one. Other critters can get into your cricket box and cause damage to your feeders.

My baby panther Bruce has two patches on the two sides of his body that are yellow. They could just be development of some more colour but they look similar to this guys splotch.
Just don't get discouraged. I lost my baby panther after I wasn't very responsible and left him out for a split second. He darted up this HUGE Japanese Maple I had in my yard and I found him not too long after. Just remember not to lose hope or patience. Good luck :)
