lol,..How long have you had him? Apparently there arent many tortoise fans here. I for one have 2 redfoots and 1 african spurthigh. All 3 are 10 years old. Yours looks great!!
Thats the same setup I have. Works great. You just need to ensure proper ventilation. Crickets seem very sensative to ammonia, and thats the main issue I have with mine. That and the small ones drieing out.
For cleaning I usually lay something in the bottom, such as towles, and that mainly...
Mule's are not always created when crossing 2 species. Ligers are not always sterile. How do you suppose they get tiligers?
I doubt it's possible though.
most people dont recommend having fake plants in with your chameleon for this reason. I'd replace them with some non-toxic plants. Not sure why he's chewing on everything tho:confused:
yes, I have found that at thereeftank.com, they aren't the friendliest, but can be helpful. Chameleonforums has been the friendliest forum I have ever been a part of, so I guess my standards have been pushed up.
I am already a member of http://www.thereeftank.com/forums/, but thanks for the other references. I always like to be members of several forums to get the best opinion. I've forgotten how many reptile forums I am a memeber to.
Thanks for all the tips! Yes, this hobby seems more expensive than reptiles!!! and I didnt realize that was possible.
My tank consists of-
20 gallon,
7lbs of live rock
10lbs of base rock ( basically ugly live rock)
live sand, arongite sand
Filter hanging off the back- i know not really...
After viewing tkilgour's thread ( below ), it seems I just had to look into this salt-water thing. That was afew weeks ago.

Now I find my self with a 20 gallon filled with fresh salt-mix of water and awaiting the fog to clear. I...
This forum is getting quite addicting in it's self.
And arent chameleons one of the only reptiles that acctually chew their food? ( in regards to the teeth delima)
lol, unfortunatley my father is smarter than that. Turns out it is very hard to educate people who have no knowledge on such subjects. Dubias get very bad rap from the "normal" people out there. To them they are just as bad as any american roach.
Don't Clown Fish live in groups/schools??? I've heard of afew males living with a single dominant female. Once she dies, the next male up changes sexes into a female, correct me if I am wrong, I've never owned any fish above a platy or cat fish, ( although I have a pond full of comets lol)
any pics?
I have a reptile building outside. Standing alone from the house. It consists of a small 14x7room with custom cages, and a 14x14 "green house" for the plants, and tropical tortoises. The 2 rooms share a wall, making 1 building.
