Eventually wanting to get a second cham...

I think it would depend on your set up and of course if they tolerate each other. My thinking of a free range is: An open enclosure to house the lights, water, etc but yet have it open so the cham can venture out onto branches or vines on the outside. Panthers are very curious and see everything...

    Immobilizing an injured chameleon

I agree, what happened to your cham?

    Low temporment

Most caged animals view their enclosure as "their" territory and by putting your hand in their enclosure is invading their space and their instinct is to defend it.

    Immobilizing an injured chameleon

Something to think about.....if they cham were in the wild and this happened, more than likely they would become dinner for a predator unless they were really good at hiding but then would they be able to hunt food? If it were my cham, I would leave it in the "same" enclosure, but raise the...

    Feeding at 4 months

I didn't see it mentioned, but veileds are known to eat fruit and dark leafy veg like collard, turnip and dandelion greens and they are high in calcium. You might want to try some to see. Google which ones are high in calcium and low in phosphorus. You do not want to feed spinach or brocoli as...

    lost appetite

At that young of an age he should be eating everyday. I don't like the bloated look and the ribs showing. If it were my cham I would take a fresh poop to the vet to have it checked. My vet charged $25.00 for a fecal.

    new owner_ new tank???

No glass is not recommended due to improper air flow. Is that a waterfall? If so, your set up will more than likely cause major problems with your cham due to no air flow and waterfalls are breeding ground for bacteria unless they are cleaned and sanitized on daily basis. BTW, it is a very...
