So, my quadricornis is back to his rightful owner, time for some new pictures.
Tom indeed did his best on him and he grew a lot, time for me to take over after my holiday.
After 3 years of active care for chameleons, unfortunatly i'm forced to quit for a while. Due to circumstances with my room mate I had to move, so for the moment i'm at my parents home, untill I have the right amount of space and time for chameleons again, I will start again but for now I need...
Look at that price ticket... Might as well give them away for free, we don't even get a veiled for that price! Poor things though... I hate pet stores like that but unfortunatly you have them all over the world.
So I've seen a lot of my more 'special' species mating and eggs hatching and stuff, but I started off 3 years ago with a veiled and never got a chance to get my veiled to mate with another female cause I didn't have space for a female. So I found myself someone looking for a nice male and since...
He sure doesn't look to good, a good thing to take him back but I have a doubt the poor thing would get treated well. His eyes are a bit sunken and his casque is way too thin.
Looking at the articles again about calyptratus I notice the temperatures tested are 25, 28 and 30 degrees Celcius. In the other article it is 24,5 26,5 and 29. The thing is that there is claimed that TSD was possible but only in temperature differences that are smaller than what so far has been...
Thanks a lot, so this one can be closed down now, I've had an answer of Chris on the topic now so I'm pleased :D
Still have to translate it into Dutch to be able to understand what he wrote, but still :D
Thanks so much for your reply Chris, I will have to read it over and over a bit to understand fully but that's also because the English terms are quite hard for me.
I would so love to be able to see some people bringing these tests into practice. It's hard to imagine how things are tested and...
This is the reason my veiled died...
He got stuck on my hand when feeding a Pachnoda marginada larva. The larva bit him in his tongue and after a long way of not being able to eat and eventually surgery he died..
People have to be very careful when using tweezers or hand feeding.
Not that I know of? That's why i'm so surprised, I wanted to check if there were any new reply's and even in my statistics the thread isn't there.
I send a PM to Chris a while ago but didn't get a reply to it, so that's why i'm asking in public.
3 days ago or so I made a topic about some questions about how certain tests are done with chameleons and if there are any scientists on the forum who could inform me, but it seems to be gone now??
I would have wanted to get a personal message if the topic has been removed for some reason?
I...
Then there is something else that comes to mind. If chams would only eat lizards as a way to survive in the wild, why would my well fed cham eat mice and baby chams without hastitation? He loves it and it's definiatly not a reason of survival. I also talked with a vet about certain things and...
