I have seen him up during the night a couple times. Hopefully his sleeping pattern is just a little off. I would say the UVB bulb is about 10 - 12 inches from the top of the cage. Here's a couple pictures of the setup. The UVB bulb is in the bigger lamp on the left.

Thank you very much! One more thing. He does close his eyes/sleep during the day. Not very much, but it does happen. I took out the waterfall and got rid of the infrared light the moment I read the replies. Any ideas?
