    4mo. old Ambilobe

I was dreading this day when I would have to let go of my last panther :(. He needs a good home. He's 4 months old and is a member of the Spock/Punkin clutch recently offered. He just went through a shed and is showing good coloration. He's a glutton and eats like there is no tomorrow. I...

    Carpet Male

Just wanted to share some pics of my male carpet cham. I'm only left with the smaller chams now since my wife doesn't mind them too much and can tolerate the little feeders to help take care of them when I'm not home. At least she's willing to help and I didn't have to completely leave the...

Ambanja up for adoption in Virginia

Sadly I need to find a new home for my Ambanja, Lil' Guy. I'm not asking for money,, just a good owner. He is approx. 1 year old but is fairly small in size compared to other chameleons similar in age. He is currently about 78 grams. He is from Screameleons and is sired by Sokool. Here's a...

new/shy chameleon won't eat??--- try stick feeding

From time to time, I see people with new chams worry because their guy/girl hasn't eaten for days since being introduced into their new home. This is normal behavior due to stress and unfamiliarity to the animal in it's new surroundings and varies in intensity from one individual to another...

    carpet chameleon enclosure

While waiting for my carpet replacement, I decided to redo the enclosure. The old enclosure had a ficus and pothos but I found that guy would only hang out on the vines and never go into the plants. The new design utilizes more open space but with plenty more paths to choose. I hope the new...

    Post Shed

Krayola just got out of a shed a few days ago and he just keeps getting more and more intense. I need to stop being so cheap and get a nice camera that can capture his true colors because my current one doesn't even come close to his real life vibrance... Anywho,, just thought I'd share them...

    Lil' Guy, the Ambanja

Thought I'd share pics and a quick story of our Ambanja, Lil' Guy... I got him last summer and he did not look good at all. His back seemed like it was broken and he had the weirdest posture. He seemed healthy enough and active but just looked,, for the lack of a better description...

Repashy Bug Burger vs. Cricket Crack-- what I found

I guess these crickets have been through rehab.. LOL.. They prefer the Bug Burger over the Cricket Crack. Maybe since B.B. has more of a gelatin like texture  Dunno, but just thought I'd share.

    Krayola being taunted by B.B.

Came downstairs to feed the guys and found Krayola as colorful as I've ever seen him. Snapped a few pics but of course... by the time I got the camera ready he wasn't nearly as bright/vibrant. This has never happened before and it wasn't until I saw the pics that I found out what was going...

The one thing I don't like about keeping chameleons

I love all of our chams, but I don't like the fact that they only eat live prey. Call me soft or whatever,,, but I just really despise having to watch something die in order to support the life of another. I know,,, that's nature..... but I'm still in control... I guess I get somewhat...

    DIY cage

Just thought I'd share some pics of my DIY cage. Measures 30x33x48. It's got a plexiglass front door and wood panels covered with kitchen counter laminate to waterproof. Still working on the drainage system as I speak. It's a work in progress since I can get a little lazy, impatient and our...

    First Reptile Expo---left sad :(

I thought these expo shows were supposed to be fun.. My experience this morning was just the opposite. I went to my first small local show and what I saw left me very sad and frustrated. It was about 99.5% snakes and tarantulas and lizards. Chameleonwise, I saw some Oustalets, Jacksons, a...

    Interior Cage Frame

I finally got my table and mitre saws set up and found some spare wood in the garage. I was bored so I decided to try something different. I built a cage/frame to go into the cage itself. I used a whole bunch of dowels to provide pathways all throughout the cage and 2 built in plant pots with...

    New member of the family

I'd like to introduce my newest guy,, Blue Balls. Yeah, it may be inappropriate, but very fitting.. He's blue and he's got balls of steel. Got him from Jim @ Chameleon Company. Very cool guy to do business with. B.B. is sired by Hyjinx. I specifically asked for a cham with spunk and Jim...
