My worst nightmare just came true. I was just looking around on the internet when a roach crawled across my screen! EWW! No idea how it got out of my cham cages. Shh...don't tell the hubby. :o
you could make an organic pesticide. Should be harmless to animals. If I remember right you boil tea, garlic, onion and cayenne pepper. It worked well on my tomatoes. Pour it around your house and clean up the ants. :)
For right now I bought a $29 fold out table from Walmart. My cages aren't heavy so it works for me. :) It's like those fold up card tables but longer and thinner.
Thanks Thompson for that. I think I got lobsters at the store today, bc they were climbing everywhere! I won't totally give up on the roach idea, I think today just traumatized me a little. :)
Glad I'm not the only one ChameleonRave. :)
So, I've said on here, on multiple occasions, that I would never ever touch roaches as feeders.
Well, never say never. I haven't been able to order crickets online b/c no one is home during the week and the temps are 100+ degrees out, so I've had to go to a pet store to get feeders. I went...
I have 2 cats and they both act like the chams don't exist. Like some else said though, they are very interested in the crickets! Which is a great thing when some get loose. :) Oh, and the chams don't seem to notice the cats ever either...
So I was going to post this yesterday, but I had a pygmy die on me instead. This girl has to be carrying tic tacs, right!? She looks like a lumpy blimp. The second picture has an arrow pointing at a lump, which is definitely not a rib. What do you all think?
I was trying to get a picture of my potentially gravid female to see what you all thought. After I snapped a few pictures I put her back and noticed that my smallest girl wasn't moving around or trying to get prey and that her eyes were squinted and almost shut. I took her out and gave her a...
It's still awesome! You could probably Photoshop it and make it a little clearer too. Keep trying. I still haven't even come close to one of these photos!:D
A) Get new friends. B)Also consider all of the information members give you and keep caring for your chams. I heard butterworms you can just keep in the fridge and they last for 6 or so months. Get a prepaid card, order it online and be prepared for when something else goes wrong. No one is...
Aww man! That IS a bad day! Sorry! :(
I wonder if the premie drops are a hormonal thing? Like how when crickets die and they give off the gas and the others die? I wonder if that type of thing happens with premature egg/baby drops....just a thought
I never thought I'd be a girl to touch crickets and worms, but I'm totally over it. I don't even freak out when they escape and crawl on me. However, I refuse to do roaches as feeders....I don't think I could get over it. lol
