Ahhh... I'd love to be able to get a cham from one of these v. well known breeding males - but alas, im in the UK and just get other peoples cast offs lol
melanophores will be the death of me before long! :P I was just wondering if diet played a role out of curiosity really - Colin is very boring brown and green lol
What ive done with my larger branches is attach them to the base of my plants and have them going up and resting on another plant, and secured with cable ties
I took him on from someone who had no idea - he has pretty bad MBD but hes having treatment for it.
Heres some photos of his front legs (they are pretty damn awful) They are all quite recent
What causes gout and odema? How are they diagnosed and what is the treatment?
As the title says - I'm sure I'm just being paranoid, but I've never had a healthy chameleon to know what "normal" is!
Colin is doing well, not growing all that much, but gaining weight and condition nicely. I'm wondering whether his legs look a bit odema-ey? Like i said, he's gaining weight...
I'm Amanda...obviously, 22 (just!) from England - I'm a student studying Veterinary Anatomy, and have no hobbies because im boring! Suggest something for me to take up! lol
ha ha - he looks very sinister in the second photo! He looks like he's doing great since his tongue incident - you've done a great job!
(It never fails to depress me when I see all those cute little straight chameleon leggies!)
I inject calcium into colin's feeders so I like to make sure he's eaten at least those ones - hes recently started eating from his feeder cup again so its making life easier!
Yeah, the only reason I picked them up was because he used to love them and I was trying to get him to eat again - I'll just let them turn into beetles and feed them to the terrapins lol
Great photos!
My cham's needs have had the opposite effect on me - I've come to tolerate such bugs! (not so much the crickets though - but I'm dealing with locusts :) )
