So I purchased a jackson chameleon from petco, I've heard there are a couple different jacksons. So my question is which one did petco sell me?

Yupp, vet and a little change in his viv. Also he's probably stressed due to his move, please don't handle him more than you have to. He's already stressed from the move and handling him on a daily basis will stress him out even more.

Yup, females will lay eggs no matter what all their life. You don't have to keep the substrate in constantly. When you start noticing weird things going on like hanging around the bottom of the cage, and acting grumpy you can put the soil in her cage for her to lay her eggs. Here is a good video...

How often do you handle your chameleon? Are you positive that she's a female, she may be ready to lay her eggs but there isn't a suitable place for her to lay them. If you handle her often she might just want to be left alone.

Geranium is perfectly safe for chameleons. Just be aware of insects that might harm him.

I'm assuming you're buying the cage from lllreptile aswell, buy the 30x16.5x48(100 gallon) mesh cage, its only $71.99 which is a good deal. As for a staple diet, crickets id say. Id suggest using the advice given. It will be expensive getting all new stuff, but you really should of had all this before purchasing him/her.

Rule of thumb w/ my other lizards is feed as many as they'll eat in 15 minutes.

He already said he hasn't gotten the chameleon yet. What kind of cage is that? You'll need a screen cage, for full ventilation. No matter what chameleon you're getting, they all need screen cages. Also it looks like you've got wood chips as a substrate, if so remove it and replace it with paper...

So I purchase this Jackson Chameleon at Petco when they had the sale going on. The employee told me it was still young and that they'd had it for about a month. I'm just looking for a guess, if anyone could help me out that would be great!
