Genetics..... That is what you are paying for. There are so many locals and most breeders are trying to keep them as pure as possible. Also most breeders raise panther babies for 3 to 4 months before selling them (which can be costly), most Veileds I see cheap are only 1 to 2 months old.

Dubais are great, like everyone else said start it as soon as you can. I would advise getting a good mix. Each adult Female can produce 15 to 30 babies every 30 to 45 days. A growing chameleon can eat 10 to 15 appropriate sized Dubai a day.
If you plan on breeding them you may want to start...
The term Furcifers root is Furci ,which means forked (foot) (not rouge).
THe term pardalis root is pardus, means a Panther or Leopard (Spotted like)
The Latin name translates to something like.
Forked (Foot) Spotted like a Panther (or leopard)
That Pet Place is an awesome store to check out. Its a huge warehouse full of pet supplies, they have a great Reptile Room, the largest selection of fish I have ever seen in one place. The employees are also very knowledgeable (all the employees specialize in what they sell). Its out near...
Depends on the genetics of the chameleon (I've seen some huge Veileds).
Dubias take several months to grow. They start at about 1/4rth inch and grow about 1/4rth inch a month. My adult female Veiled can only eat the m up to about an inch.
LOL, I hand feed adult male Dubia to Link (my adult male Ambilobe Panther). I handle smaller ones all the time (only have like 15000 to 20000 at the moment).
They disturb me way less than crickets.
It really depends on what your water source is, how your city treats it. If it is heavily treated (lots of chlorine and fluoride), it will be advised to filter it.
I'm lucky my tap water is very clean, have been using it for almost a year with no problem.
The repti-fogger is a great product for vivariums, I have had mine for about a year and haven't had a problem with it (I use it for my Dart frog tanks). That being said a fogger really isn't appropriate for most chameleons best to spend the extra couple bucks on a Mist King (I use this as most...
You can always sell the extras. I started with a colony of about 100 adults and 2000 mixed (1/8 to 1/2). Now it produces 6000 to 10000 babies a month, I use about 1000 a month, grow about 1000 a month (takes 4 to 6 months) to adulthood and sell the rest. On top of that female adults sell for up...
LOL, I won't be starting a cricket breeding bin any time soon. My Fruit Fly Cultures, Dubia Roaches (all 20,000ish) and Lateralis Roaches (all 30000ish) are way more than enough insects for me.
Crickets should be fed a quality grain of some sort, potatoes are a good source of water for them. If you only have a few crickets they won't need much food and won't need to be cleaned often.
