Thanks for the posts everyone! The reason I wonder about Veiled colors and types because I came across this website TikiTikiReptiles and they have different types of Veiled and they have their little differences in colors and pattern. I guess I'll have to wait till he's all grown up :)
I'm just curious on what colors will Kiddo(3 months and 3 weeks male Veiled) have, can it be determined on how it looks like at about 4 months? Do all Veiled have similar colors or there are different types of Veiled? If there are different types of Veiled, how can I tell what type/kind of...
Sorry Calypso, I've been pretty busy the past week. To answer your questions, yes I did use some adult breeding crickets. You can YouTube many ways different people use to breed crickets :D small investment, but well worth it!
Haha yeah, just like Carlton said..with the right amount of misting and heating will give you the humidity you need. If your home or where you keep your cham with a screen enclosure is too dry or hot then you could try to increase the misting sessions, but be careful on your humidity level with...
Haha..I'm right there with the both of you..I'm still trying to put the question? together  Hey brittanyt, it would be most helpful for us if you can help us figure out the question you're trying to get the answer to :)
I don't think shut eyes and a loss of appetite are signs of stress. I would advise you to take your cham to your local vet as soon as you can. Signs of stress would be their color showing or black patterns.
Soles! Thanks for the correction! No I have never noticed the shed from his soles, only the top of his feet. The thing is how long can the shed from his soles take to shed? His most recent shedding was just about 2 weeks ago.
So this is really weird to me because I've only witness this behavior a few times just recently. After a mist session, Kiddo(3 months male Veiled) starts to go on different branches he has and starts rubbing the branches with his rear feet like he's stroking them. This only happens after the...
For a few days now he's been showing his black dots and stripes all day except when he sleeps. I do free range some crickets in there, could they be bothering him?
I recommend replacing the waterfall with a dripper/mist system. If you want to keep the waterfall, it should be cleaned everyday due to bacteria build up.
I'm sure respiratory infection is one common thing that can happen to your chameleon, maybe everyone can share their experience or knowledge of RI.
To start off, I have a few questions myself. After you witness a first sign of a URI/LRI symptom and if not treated, how fast does the infection...
Ace Hardware selling feeders? Haha so weird and out of place. 5 cents a piece is not bad, although I get my 25 cickets for $1 at a local reptile shop :D
My cham had shed just before he hit 3 months and then again at his 4th month, my cham is 14 weeks old. Their skin usually looks wrinkle and white starts to show right before they shed. I hope this helps and some pictures would be great to absolutely determine if it's something else rather then a...
Tap water can be bad for your mist system(if you have one) due to calcium and lime build up, but I'm not certain if its okay or safe for your cham to drink. To make 101% for the sake of your cham's health I would recommend some water conditioner for any water your cham may drink, I'm currently...
