My cham is a fussy eater, but she adores Locust as we discovered recently. Perhaps you could try some very small Locust on your guy. Somebody on the forum told me that as long as the food is no bigger than the space between your chams eyes then it is fine. Hope that helps. :)
Aaaw so pleased for you. I can`t wait to see some pics of your new guy :D I couldn`t sleep the night before I got Gizzy (Gizmo too, lol) I was like a kid in a sweet shop. :D
Thank you all - I can`t begin to describe how fantastic it is to have our bossy little madam back and we really appreciated all the support and advice from everyone :D She had her stiches out a couple of hours ago and was such a little trooper not even getting upset. Adam gave her an mot and was...
Thanks guys :D It is awful seeing her so poorly, but to see the improvement just makes us ectastatic. :D Each time we think she has nothing left she proves us completely wrong - I wish I had half her determination.
:D Gizzy seems to be on the mend once again :D We are now off the critical care formula and eating well. She`s still in some pain and a bit grouchy, but seems to feel better by the day. We go for the stitches out next week too :D
Here`s a pic I took today of her looking rather content with...
You`ll be amazed how forgiving Chams are. In my experience Gizzy has always been quick to forgive me after upsetting her. As Chamnerd suggests, a few tasty treats will surely build some bridges.
His colouring could be a sign of something more serious so I would keep a close eye on him or...
Lol I once forgot to take Gizzy from her tree and she had fallen asleep, when I tried to wake her she went crazy and started puffing up and buzzing. I chickened out in the end and put her, still on the tree, back into her tank :o:D I had no idea that they all reacted this way.
I`m so sorry that he has passed away :( It is amazing how attached we become to our chams. Will you have a necropsy carried out ? It may be a good idea to figure out what happened.
LOL it was a rather expensive poop, but worth every penny :D
She`s on the critical care formula twice a day (with a pinch of Arkvits) and metacam every other day. She has had lactulose to try help her go, but won`t be needing that for now at least. The main problem is that she is refusing...
Thanks guys I don`t know where I would be without the help and support from everyone. Yesterday was such a horrible day and I really thought we had no options left. She is still poorly, but we are praying with the meds that she will continue to improve. We are reviewing her on Tuesday now and if...
Well,I feel like I have just won the lottery !!! We went to the vet and Gizzy has been given some more meds. She seems a bit brighter today so the vet decided that rather than surgery or letting her go, we should persevere until Tuesday and hope she goes. She also had an antibiotic shot and off...
Thank you all for your kind thoughts and wishes, we are just about to leave for the vets now. I have never before hoped that Gizzy would do her usual toilet trick whilst in the car.
Penn - Gizzy is almost 2 and a half now. To say we got attached would be an understate, she definitely rules...
Thanks - I will definitely post as soon as I arrive home. It is a big possibility that she has lost the ability to push as I`ve noticed a couple of times she has been trying, but nothing seems to happen. We have tried palpating and showers etc, but no joy. I am praying the vet can help her, it`s...
I have sat all evening trying to figure out what to say, but words fail me :( Gizzy is going to the vet at 9am tomorrow and I don`t think the odds of her coming home with us are too good. She has been unable to poop since the op and became quite ill over the last few days, now she is refusing...
