I like The Panther Baron as well. Justin is easy to reach and does a great job. Kammerflage Kreations has some great chams as well, just a little pricey. Take a look at some of the site sponsors and see what they have available.
Expos are great. You can talk face to face with the breeders and get a good gauge on them as well as pick out the Cham yourself. You can always look them up on your phone before you make a purchase and check out reviews, Social media, etc. to see if they are active and accessible to their...
Exciting stuff! How old is this Cham? You're probably going to want to start with small crickets if he is a young in. Make that your primary source of food for your Cham for now. I dust mine with a calcium supplement ever other feeding. This along with gut loading and proper UVB you should be...
You may want to just bite the bullet and go ahead and get a misting system from MistKing. All of those store bought misters/foggers are useless and will need to be replaced. Plus foggers aren't much use for chameleons. That's just for show. Is that a water dish at the bottom of the cage? If so...
The Atrium by dragon strand can house a chameleon for life so there shouldn't be a need to replace it after half a year. I'll post an update once I get it setup. Cheers!
That's a ton of misting. Please keep in mind that constant standing water is a breeding pool for bacteria. If your feeder insects are swimming in it...you just want to make sure you don't get your Cham sick. Either from bacteria or a constantly wet cage that's going to cause respiratory...
Aqua traders has a quad fixture as well. Comes with 6500k bulbs. Just add a plant pro bulb and a 5.0 UVB bulb and you'll come out cheaper. It also has a built in timer.
Yea, what he said. MistKing is a great investment. The Quad fixture from lightyourreptiles would be perfect for a large cage like the one you just purchased. You make those investments, it'll pay off in the long run.
Just go to MistKing.com and see what you like best. They are a Located in Canada so if you want to get cheaper shipping find a U.S. Retailer with MistKing products. I believe LLLreptile carries them.
Depends on how many chameleons you've got. The starter kit can mist up to 10 nozzles I believe. That's what I have and it's awesome. Got the rain nozzle to go with it. Couldn't be happier.
I just put in my claim to PayPal yesterday. It's been over 2 weeks with no word and numerous unanswered emails. It's a shame too because people really seem to like the products. Luckily we have MistKing with superb products and customer service.
I'll be doing an advanced setup on my first dragon strand cage soon. It's the Atrium with dragon ledges and drainage tray. From what have been told and read they are the best on the market. I can tell you more next weekend if you would like.
I recommend dragon strand cages over reptibreeze. They have the atrium cage which can be used from 3 months of age through adulthood. Or you can do the reptibreeze and later upgrade to a larger dragon strand cage and use the reptibreeze as your outdoor cage to get some natural sunlight...
Sorry for your loss. If he didn't have any UVB for 6 months he more than likely had MBD. He may have even had a bone fracture from what you described. UVB is essential for proper chameleon health. I would also leave off the night time heat bulb. They benefit from the temperature spike in the am...
