From the shots, they look normal zoomed in, maybe post some of your cham at a side view. My male changes lip coloration all the time. mostly they pale yellow like how yours is, to a bright orange pink when he sleeps. I think the "lipstick" on males is common in many chameleons species

Home depot sells something similar but it only comes in 8x4' sheets, called fiber reinforced plastic(frp). You can easily cut it to size with some sheers or heavy duty cutting tool. I used to line some of my cages with it, both mesh and wooden enclosures.
