I didn't have a drill/screws handy so I just velcroed that acrylic wedge to the top. Works fine and easily removable should you ever need to take it off.
I would cut down the trees if I couldn't find mine. Do yours first, then if you don't find him, wait til the neighbors are gone to work and get theirs. If you like your neighbor you could cut the limbs off one by one and search them since it would be less destructive, but otherwise just go all...
I also read that flouride in the water can give mbd-like symptoms. But I too would like to know what the other people are seeing that looks problematic. Maybe circle it in mspaint?
Mine is a bit cooler than that, probably 72-75 on average but the evaporation makes it significantly cooler. I think the water probably needs to be 100-110 so that it's pleasantly warm by the time it turns into mist. So far I've just been microwaving it but that won't be feasible when I install...
Congrats on your new baby. I'm jealous, my wife shot down dubias so I can't have any.
"Do you want a chameleon?"
"Yes...."
"Then you're NOT keeping a box of roaches in my house."
Well mine came from the same place as yours and the camera doesn't phase him at all, even if it's like 6 inches away. I'm also eagerly awaiting the color change...never know what you're gonna get with an ambilobe. I'm already so attached to him that I wouldn't care if he stayed brown though. You...
I saw that while searching but I'm not much of an electrician. What model coffee maker did you use? I thought about buying one but it would get frustrating buying random coffee makers to try to find a heater that works.
Well I just got my Mist King and will install it later this week, but I've already learned that my cham does not like being misted with room temperature water. Since I don't want to make him miserable several times every day, it looks like I'll need a heater. So far I've seen several methods...
I would sell him for a reasonable price instead of giving him away, unless you know who you're giving him to. Otherwise you have no way to know if they'll just turn around and sell him again.
They have a rounded end which from searching it seems like people just say to avoid the pointy ones, still dangerous? Hopefully in a few more days he'll just take them from my hand anyways since he's not really doing the free range thing. The crickets just run around on the bottom and he's...
Well, it looks like he FINALLY understands this whole eating thing. After I mist him with his morning drink, it's his habit to run around upside down on the ceiling like in that video I posted. He's been doing it for longer and longer each day...his morning constitutional is up to a couple hours...
I would (in fact I did) get the panther if that's what you want. The additional cost of the panther over the veiled is very small compared to the time and money you're going to spend as fixed costs of having either chameleon. If you were depending on the veiled having a higher margin of error...
I was only kidding. I was also thinking about the mean one but my wife didn't want me to get him so I ended up with a little baby. You made a good choice, I looked at a ton of places and he was the best looking decently priced older panther.
