No lay bin. She is only 5 months so there’s no way she’s sexually mature yet right? Temps in the basking sport sits around 90 and the temp drops into the 70s as you move away from the basking spot.
I have a 18x18x36” reptibreeze with a double dome fixture with a 75 W basking bulb and a ceramic heat emitter. For UVB, I have a 14” zoo med reptisun T5 HO fixture with a 5.0 bulb. I run the lights for about 11 hours a day. I run a fogger 3 times a day for 30 mins at a time. I have live plants...
Hello,
I have a 5 month old female veiled cham and ever since the temps have really started dropping where I live in Cleveland, OH she has started eating much less. Normally, she devours crickets and whatever else I offer her (Dubias or superworms). I know that many reptiles go into a sort of...
Interesting thought. Of course a smaller crawfish would be best to try. I live in northeast Ohio right near Lake Erie and many of the healthier streams around me are home to crawfish. However I would be too nervous to feed one caught in the wild since it can carry disease and unwanted pathogens...
Hello all,
I have a juevenile veiled in a large reptibreeze (18x18x36 in) and want to add more foliage. Right now I have some sort of flowering plant that has lasted for awhile and my cham loves it. On the bottom, I have a small pothos plant. As far as lighting I have a double dome fixture with...
Just want to run my lighting situation by you guys for my juvenile female veiled. Currently on my large repribreeze (18x18x36) I have a 14 inch reptisun high output T5 fixture with a 5.0 reptisun bulb. For heat, I have a double dome fixture with a 75W basking bulb and a ceramic heat emitter for...
I keep a Tupperware below my dripper to catch the water so it doesn’t soak the bottom of the cage. I then use a turkey baster to suck out the water that collects in there to water my plants. That way, the water doesn’t go to waste.
Yes don’t have lights on at night. Chams need total darkness to be able to sleep. If you want additional heat at night, use a ceramic heat emitter since they don’t give off light.
I have a female veiled chameleon and although I have a ceramic heater, I don’t have it on at night. Veiled chams can withstand nighttime temps all the way down to the high 40s in Fahrenheit. A nighttime temp drop is actually good for their metabolism, just make sure it gets warm enough (low 90s)...
This looks like a great option for getting the cage higher and storing supplies in the drawers. However, how would you rest the cage on top with an oil funnel under it to allow the water to drain. The top of the stand isn’t hollow so how could I make it work?
Right now I just have the enclosure on top of a small crate in my bedroom (pic attached). I’m wondering how I would be able to rest the enclose on a table or something while also having the funnel and bucket underneath. I may have to build a hollow stand out of wood so I can easily empty the...
Hello all,
I have an 18x18x36 reptibreeze enclosure with a 2-3 month old veiled chameleon, that I believe is a female. Currently, I simply have about an inch of eco earth on the bottom to soak up some of the water. However, I have a fogger that runs 4 times a day for 30 minutes at a time that...
Relocated my cage today. I placed a shelf above it to hold the fogger and dripped above the cage. I feel proud of the setup so I attached a picture. :)
Hellos everybody,
I have a large 18x18x36 reptibreeze cage with a baby veiled chameleon that I keep in front of my bedroom window. It has a dual zoo new fixture with a exo terra UVB 100 and a Zilla heat bulb. The window faces directly west so it gets decent sun from mid afternoon through the...
I just purchased a new reptile fogger from Amazon made by evergreen pet supplies (not sure if anything has experience w/ this fogger). I want to know how often I should run it and for how long. I can easily control when and how long it turns on using a timer as it doesn't have one built in like...
