Misting
If you struggle with low humidity, you will have to mist the enclosure wether your cham likes it or not, unless you decide to humidify the whole room:eek:
For me, misting is the only way to raise the humidity in the cage, even with three sides covered.
I built multiple rain rings that...
You asked for help and provided no real info. on your husbandry (which is what needs to be scrutinized in order to help you).
So when Carol asked you a few basic questions on your set up/husbandry (which you should have provided while asking for help) you accuse her (and others) of being...
Band
And how could we forget this band in all their 80's gaudiness!- www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXQYcNSNIb8&feature=kp
Some feel the magic starts at around 3:54:).
Hey Decadancin,
My wife, daughter and I saw Pink live at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ (dec. 2013) and we enjoyed it...
Yes Motherlode Chameleon, for some of us "Hooked on a feeling" was/is a great song. I love that era of music (60's and 70's).
Unlike today there was no "auto tune" or any other "mechanism" to make you sound good even if you weren't.
It was a place in time where as a performer or musician...
He looks very tiny:)
The dead feeder on the leaf above him is almost as big as his head!
Why is there such a large feeder in with him?
Make sure he is not getting bitten by those large insects:eek:
completed enclosure
I forgot to show our completed home made cage.
These lousy pics are the best I can do for now (any idea for better pics than an i-phone? Maybe a Go Pro?).
I'm considering adding more foliage to it.
Does this enclosure look full enough with plants and sticks?
As you can...

"These light fixtures are nice and cheap but be aware, you get what you pay for. These lights have been known in the past to overheat and cause fires. I have a 48" quad fixture from Odyssea and I can attest to the amount of heat they put off. Not to mention the life time on the...
Colors
Tuco is beautiful for sure! Awesome colors for his age:)
We sometimes read/hear that a chameleon changing colors to blend in to their background, is a fallacy.
Unless these photos are altered (not suggesting they are), could post number #6 of this thread belie this theory
Like it says, a medium sized bee flew in to his cage (1/2" x 1/2" hardware cloth) and he ate it::(
Should I worry? You would think the bee would use its stinger in his mouth:eek:
It looked like no problem by the way he chewed it.
He's a five month old ambilobe, panther.
Canvas Chameleons is a great group for sure:)
They set us (my son and I) up with a beautiful 4 month Ambilobe and lots of enclosure equipment to get us on our way with our first cham!
They also helped us by meeting in person instead of delivery.
Sorry about your lost cham:(
12% uv bulb
I have had good luck using a quad lamp (12%) from L.Y.R. and my five month old panther cham loves it!
Of course, he moves in and out of his plant (large schefflera) all day. His enclosure measures 48"tall x 32" wide x 21" deep. He has plenty of shade when he wants.
A lot of...
plants
Canvas Chameleons sells some very nice silk plants.
They are a nice group and are also a site sponsor here.
They ship quickly as well.
Good luck.
Thanks guys.
I went ahead and gave him nine more at around 4:30 and he housed them in five minutes too!
I guess he likes phoenix worms:).
Dubias and crickets are his primary feeders but Ill use these phoenix worms more now and crickets less..
Hello all.
About two hours ago my 4-1/2 month old panther chameleon ate 12 reptiworms in less than 5 minutes!
He now waits at his basking branch looking down at his feeder bowl wanting more.
He has never eaten such quantity so quickly and vigorously in such short time. He eats his...
