Well I do have a Room Humidifier, as described in my first post. It runs all day (not at night)
Maybe I should reverse that? OR have it going during the night too?
So yeah, lets turn this into a MISTING SYSYTEM REVIEW THREAD.
What systems do you have? How much are they? How are they programmed? What can they be programmed to do? What is the mist formation like? Cleaning? Maintenence? Any problems?
Thank you!!
Hey guys,
Starting to build my cage and just wondering if Its okay to rub stain the wood after I build, like how most cabinets are stained.
Im thinking maybe the stain could make him sick if he comes in contact with it?
Should i just leave the wood raw?
I thought it was better for...
I didnt realize mistking had a built in timer. Doesnt say that on their website. Maybe im looking at the wrong model. The more expensive ones have timers, cheap ones dont?
What make/model do you reccomend?
I will mist him in the morning and as much I think necessary after work/school.
But what about the times during the day when were away?
Does humidity need to stay constantly high? OR can it fluctuate?
I want the best for my Cham but don't want to overkill the water situation with a mister...
Hello there,
My baby male WC Ambanja/ WC RB Ambilobe cross is coming in a couple weeks and just getting myself prepared for him to very very safe and comfortable.
I have a drip feeder system going now, It drips one drop about every 5-10 seconds. Its just a large water bottle with pin...

Im not gonna put it in and risk him licking it and getting sick. Its a nice lamp but very un-natural for the cham. Ill leave it on the coffee table.
"an unnatural light source that a chameleon would never encounter in real life."
Totally agree, didn't think of that. And yeah, I wouldn't want him to get sick from the salt. Ill keep it outside the cage.
Haha, poop.
Okay, sounds good. Ill have to find a vet in my area and get aquainted. Thanks for the advice.
I got my supplements today. A Potassium and vitamin d free Calcium duster AND A multivitamin with Vitamin D (its low in D since I have a big UV bulb). Ill use them everyday and every...
Awesome, this is going to be good. Feeling confident.
Fecal Float Test? Care to elaborate? Is this something I can do on my own? OR should I take him to a reptile veterinarian?
Great news! Very good info. Thanks so much. I will stick with small crickets and mealworms and horn worms for the first bit, as they are readily available to me.
Ill get an order of silk worms coming and get mulberry food.
Once spring comes (literally millions) of grasshoppers will be...

Has anyone have experience including one of these in their set up? Would there be any problem with a Cham being on/near one? they are nice and warm.
Thanks!
Very Good! Thanks. Im thinking of ordering butter/horn/silk worms online.
I see they offer specific food for them. Is that Necessary? OR Can I just gutload with carrots/yams, apples/oranges, romaine lettuce and spearmint leaves. as well as hemp seeds and raw oats? +other goodies depending on...
Great! Online bug buying is an option. I will pursue that.
So ill find a vitamin free calcium supplement to use often, like every other day? and a multivitamin to use periodically?
Would having meal/superworms in my possession longer before he arrives be better to give them more time to...
Thanks! Ill think about crickets, I understand they are gutloaded easier. makes sense. I will include silkworms to the list. But due to my location (Winnipeg) most shops only carry the four I listed. Sometimes not even that.
I have some questions regarding local feed (for summertime) that I...
