I fed him soldier fly larvae, but that was months ago...maybe some of the worms survived and became adults? They look awfully familiar. Yes I feed him super worms but he's not wanting them anymore, and my enclosure is indoors.
While looking at my male veiled today, he has black spots at the bottom of his head, which I think are burn marks, and just to be sure do they look like burn marks?
Is it normal for a 8 month old male veiled chameleon to not eat any crickets and just some hornworms? I've tried feeding him crickets in free-roam, and in a container but he won't eat them. But when I show a hornworm in a cage he eats it like a five-star meal. Is he addicted? If so how can I...
UPDATE: The small ones grew pretty damn fast, one to big for my oldest chameleon that (I think) bit him so he spit it out with its head crushed and bleeding all over. While my female veiled I gave her a medium small one and she did the same thing as well, maybe they're too big? So far I have two...
While I've been into hornworm breeding and all....those things grow very, very fast. I've had two bite my Chams today and I had to kill them since they had thier head broken open. So I've been thinking of getting silkworms but have a few questions which are...
Do silkworms bite?
What's the...
So I've been into hornworms lately for the past 2-3 weeks, have hatched 50 eggs, and bought 24 3rd Instar hornworms. Now all the babies are big, and I'm feeding off as much as my chameleons would handle! I plan on keeping 7-8 alive to pupate. These are my small worms. Then there is my big...
I'm keeping watch of him every minute don't worry :D, I'm very careful with him, he's like a son to me. He'll have his queen soon, as right now she's growing up :p.
Nope, the AC never gets turned on except the really hot summers which are 100 F here, overall he lives in a nice area full of light from the balcony window. He's still out...:ROFLMAO:
Yep his basking spot is 85 F, his UV linear tube is recently brought so it's fine. He has good cover, maybe he's just a freedom lover after all :ROFLMAO:.
Yes he is very dominant, he just hissed at me on trying to get him back in . I guess me and him still have a lot of work to do together. I'm lucky to have such a turquoise looking chameleon for my first.
Well I take my male outside in the early to late afternoons, he hates going back into his cage though :ROFLMAO:. My female on the other hand, is really shy, maybe because she's small? He's very lovable, he'll let me touch his stomach, but as soon as I show advances in bringing him back into his...
Steve is my first chameleon that I have ever owned. We got him from pet smart on the 27th of Feburaury. The first picture is a picture of him a day after we got him on the 28th. The second one is of the little fellow now, 3 1/2 months later.
Well it's for sure he's a male since females lay eggs at 6 months :D. I get why most people were confused because his casque is small and he's really green which most of the time says female. Well you're lucky to have a lovable chameleon for your first one! Mine is my first one and well we have...
