that is extremely sad that she was put through that and that you had to go through it as well, I wish you the best and hope you have a great experience with your new cham :)
im sorry but I would no way be using moss she didnt lay in the sand or soil because she wasnt ready yet, now when she is ready could not like the moss and coconut fiber and beconme egg bound, or ingest it and and have worse issues i would definatly get rid of it and put a 50/50 mixture of moist...
wow I did not expect to get so many comments on him! thank you everyone for your nice compliments! for only 5 months his colors are insane im very proud of him! and I will definatly be posting updates and pics of him!
p.s he drank water and has already eaten 3 crickets that ive seen!
Lol...
So I just emailed them to tell them I wanted him and make the payment saying someone contact when they seen when they seen him on my posting and put a deposit down on him so looks like I'll be going with 1 of these little babies... I'm not going to post where they're from this time so that...
So im getting ready to purchase my first nosy be male but having a hard time picking because im not sure how colors should look at certain ages.. I'm attaching a picture of my favorite if I could get some opinions on him and if you think he's going to turn out pretty thank u!
this is so sad, anyone who can allow an animal to get in that shape and then to ship them in that conditionin should not be able to even own animals let alone breed and sell them....I would suggest force feeding her some bug juice she HAS to get some water and a little food in her or she...
in my opinion i would get rid of the heat emitter and get her a regular basking bulb 50-75watt but nothing higher i use 60watt at one basking area and a 50watt at the other basking side cause my cages are large i have never used a heat emitter or seen anyone use them with chams.
in my opinion it doesnt look real severe thats your call but what i would do is go to your pharmacy and ask the pharmacist for some over the counter silver cream the other guy told you about youll have to look at his post for the exact name...and make sure the light is nothing higher then 75watt...
that would be what i would do is get him in a screen cage ASAP , i have heard people say the same thing about them not eatig as much in glass, my chams love to tongue down crickets climbing up and down the screen
i am so tankful i have a 24 hour herp vet 30 mins away so i never have to be in that situation either, i will never be able to get that pic of that poor baby chams injured leg out of my head and i hope no other animal ever has to go through somthing like that.
my first thought would be a digestive issue and he isnt getting hungry because his food isnt digesting as fast as normal a vet would be able to tell you more has he been tested for parasites?...but hes absolutly stunning gorgeous cham!
that is turely horrific what a sad way to leave this earth RIP little guy, was he put to sleep at the vet? when i seen the post i called the vet here and asked him what the most humane way to put a cham out of there misery would be in his opinion, incase but god forbid somthing like this happen...
