I use a $6 dome from menards but you really dont need it. I only used mine a few times and had it plugged into a thermostat so it wouldnt get over the tem I set.
I use the 10.0 now. You have to remember if tour top is small screen you will lose 50% of the light. I use a 12% bulb on my custom cage. Talk with lightyourreptiles.com he can shed more light on this.
That was in the first bulbs that came out. The problem has since been fixed. Im using one now for our baby male veiled, picking up my ambilobe panther thursday.and I think a compact fluorescent is being used with him too.
i use a battery back up on my reptile cages. in case of a outage i'll cover the cages with blankets to help keep heat in. i also have a big gererator to run the furnace, TV, fridge/freezer, and my animals. but if i'm not home to kick it on the battery back up will last til i get there.
1- because it is trying to act natural, like a leaf
2- any pet store that sells reptiles
3- they will eat some greens and veggies
4- get some live plants make sure they are on the safe list
I dont either, now im confused. I have had my veiled for 3 weeks and he has doubled in size. Was tiny when we got him but now is a fat little thing and at least an inch longer. Almost have his new home done. Hooked up my misting system on it tonight. Just need a few more vines and he will be set.
My entire background on our gargoyle gecko enclosure is made from great stuff and cork bark. I used the fish and pond because it comes in black. Ill try the great stuff tomorrow afternoon and let you know how it goes. Might have to make a sturdier mold or leave out the center mold and just cut...
They are heavier than I wanted but the magnets I used didn't make it an issue. The next ones will be made out of a lighter material. I used plaster of paris for these.
Yes they will be, together they are rated at 25 pounds to pull apart. I was worried they would slide down the screen but it actually takes quite a bit of force to make them move. I put put a half gallon of water on top of it and still held.
