I have been wondering how I could raise silkworms, not having access to mulberry leaves and not really wanting to buy the chow.
But then I realized... I HAVE A GIANT MULBERRY TREE IN MY YARD. Wow... I feel dumb.
I didn't think about it, because we've always called them HORSE...
The picture of the tails making a heart that won recently is a great example in my opinion. Honestly it's not a "technically good" photo. It's slightly off cropped and the drab gray background is boring. HOWEVER, It is a once in a lifetime photo that captured a beautiful moment. And that's why...

Has anyone ever tried putting a Cham on an iPad like people do with cats? I wonder how they'd respond.
Hahaha... But seriously, has anyone seen this game yet?! It's iTunes current game of the week. Yay for chameleons!
How about this... you live in freaking Hawaii and so just make life seem a little bit more fair for us who are trudging through the snow... You don't get a panther! I mean... If I had my choice between a lava rock sand beach and perfect weather all the time... And a panther... I'd buy a Jacksons...
Haha, I was like... why do people keep telling them they need a bin?! Although when I was a kid my teachers always told me to read the instructions before starting a test... :)
One time the instructions said, do not answer any of these questions, sign your name at the bottom and turn it in...
Do you have a UVB fluorescent tube or cfl? This is necessary, and not really considered a heat bulb, unless you have an all in 1... which aren't very typical.
Also, mealworms are considered very hard on their digestive systems, as they have such hard exoskeletons, and are often not even...
No problem, just trying to give back as everyone has given to me! Your Cham is on his way to a healthy life. He seems like a big guy?! Very tall body and good coloration.
The reason I believe that plants aid in hydration, is through a recent experience. I had a dying plant that was sucking all of the moisture out of the air, it was plenty misted, with drops all over the leaves, and I witnessed Leo drinking everyday. However, he had an orange urate one day, and...
Yeah that was to show you the crazy options you have! But if you want to find the PVC, just do a search for PVC and the expanded PVC sheets will show up
A few suggestions.
Get a live plant quick. That will be the most quick way to get him hydrated. If you need help with what types, you can look that up on the forums. To get you started, a pothos from lowes/home depot will be fine. You will need to repot it in organic soil, but once again just...
Yeah I'd wait. There was a recent choking death I heard about involving a hornworm being fed at 4 months, so just be careful with feeding! Use the "never wider then the space between there eyes" rule.
Acrylic is a bit more brittle/stiff. May work but different properties. My first guess was PVC, I believe you can buy it in sheets like 4x8 but haven't looked for it ever. I think expanded is what you're looking for, try this link...
I don't know... Hoj is okay I guess... JK!!!! Congrats! I agree you've been very helpful and I'm always happy when you join a conversation I'm a part of or viewing!
My schedule is 7:40am to 8:00pm, and I'm also in ohio.
Basically, If they get total darkness for awhile and fall asleep, turning on a small light in the room (that does not directly illuminate their eyes) does nothing. I have a light that sits behind a curtain and turn it on after 9, and it...
Sounds like you have a great Cham. Mine took about 3 weeks and 3 successful handlings to get him to not run away every time I came near the cage. So patience! He will come around. ;)
