    Misting systems

On the mistking website there is a YouTube video of their rain contraption in action. You still get mist but some of it accumulates into a rain.

    Misting systems

You can get nozzles that act like rain and set on top of the cage instead of in it from aquazamp or mistking.

    You have to hear this!!!

The funny part is that to grow something illegal you don't even use flourescent lighting. It's mercury vapor or metal halide. Not that I ever did it or anything.

    You have to hear this!!!

Haha some people just have nothing better to do than involve themselves in others lives. Luckily I live in the country and my neighbors are a good ways away, but I still show off my collection. My neighbor on one side is from Maine, and she is deathly and irrationally terrified of snakes, but...

    You have to hear this!!!

Remember folks, in modern society this hobby can seem quite weird to people who know nothing of it.

    Water on top of cage

Water and electricity and electrical fixtures never mix, there's always a potential as those hoods arent water tight. Elevating it may fix the problem.

    Cham noob pondering first enclosure

Haha yeah that's called a bead roller I believe. But i thought you had to use a machine to get the groove into raw aluminum stock. That's not bad at all really. Was it hard to get the screen stretched the way it should? What did you do about the PVC flooring? Karma yeah she'll geeeetcha.

    Cham noob pondering first enclosure

Where do you get your supplies to build those and other than a bead roller what specialty tools do you need/use? Do you save a significant amount of money over buying one?

    Is it safe

I've used sterlite boxes for quarantine before, but you may also set a large bucket and then direct the light towArds the plant but I wouldn't put them together.

    Cham noob pondering first enclosure

There is a thread about low VOC stains and varnishes. Consider melamine though, or galvanized tubing. Even with sealant, they can still rot out with the amount of moisture we use.

    Cham noob pondering first enclosure

Stay away from fiberglass, I had nothing but problems building it. Aluminum if coated is my fav, 1/4" galvanized works as well. Fiberglass, which is used for window screen though I'm not sure you're speaking direct about, tears easily and lighting we use deteriorates it quickly.

    Best housing option

Ok so I've got the full blown Cham addiction. I can't stop spending money, it's insatiable. I figured I should at least try to be frugal. I'll be purchasing two female panthers and I want cages I can get the most use out of, would I be better served getting a couple 16x16x20s or 16x16x30? These...

    Here's Zen's setup - any suggestions appreciated

He's way too hot, remove the incadescent bulbs, replace with househd bulb. Stop handling everyday. Isolate it with a sheet if you can't move it to a room with no one present. The worms are unnecessary as they provide little nutrition. Lower temps, lower stress, he sounds stressed and overheated.

    is this a real cham!!!

Did anyone see how much that thing was? No thanks. I'd rather have a Cuban cigar. Or anole, I thought we had an embargo against Cuba how did this guy get one?

Respitory infection in brand new female. Trying reptaid.

Thanks for posting those videos, and further explanations. I purchased one faly male from a breeder who I don't think is a sponsor, who after seeing your video I'm sure had a RI, unfortunately I had to return it as I got little feedback and no extension of a 5 day warranty. I'm much happier with...

    When starting a breeding program

Draw a punnet square, take it as far as you want with the information you can get and you should get a percentage possibility for certain colorations. Their colors are like fingerprints. Sometimes it is a crap shoot.

    My dripper and drainage stand.

made this out of plastic coated metal plant stakes. My dripper doesn't have it's weight on the screen and with the small hole drips a drop per second and can last over two hours. Helps to keep the humidity around 72%. it all drains into a pail under this stand. The pail also braces the PVC...
