    Almost the same exact situation over here at my place! I've been debating about whether or not to kill the lights an hour earlier, but then will the chameleons just start going to sleep at 6 then? I'm not sure... so for now i'm leaving it... I think they're responding to the entire room...

    To me it looks like the scales are being damaged from some type of rubbing, pressing, scraping, ect... At this point there is no immediate health concerns, but if he keeps it up it may get swollen, infected, ect and become a serious issue. I would definately try to address it quickly before you...

    It's not mouth rot, but it could be the beginning stages of "nose rub" which is basically a cumulative abrasion. He might be rubbing on some screen or wood? Has he been restless and trying to get out of his enclosure?

    try some sun. It seems to perk them up a bit for breeding, feeding, ect...

    Tap water is fine for reptiles. certain amphibians and fish are more sensative, but reptiles do fine with it... There are much bigger things to concern yourself with.

    Mmmmm surf rods... I'll be on the outter banks of NC in a couple of months doing just that. Snapper, striped bass, drum, flounder, ect.. What were you guys after that day the pic was taken? Have any luck?

    I just went back and checked the vendor list and they've almost doubled the number of vendors since this thread was started. Not necessarily anything i'm interested in, but the more the better... I'm seriously considering taking home a ball python morph - or two :eek: I'll probably...
