    Sick Baby Veiled

Oh no I def would not get rid of it. That is def an asset that I wish I had, but yea thats a good idea u got to run it at intervals. It should work real well for you! Im not really sure what u mean by dowels? I only say that about the horizontal pathways, because I seen that platform thing u have...

    Sick Baby Veiled

Oh ok well I unfortunately am not lucky enough to have a automatic mister myself, but plenty of people on here do have them and love them. I would love to have one but have not been able to get the money for one yet. Being full time student in all. I think people with panthers really benefit...

Your doing just fine! Don't be to hard on yourself, im sure most of us here have gotten into something a little to early due to excitement one time or another. People have done a lot worse also. The good thing is that you are showing true interest in correcting your mistakes and doing all the...

18 mo. old Veiled Bump on nose

First off it is a good thing you are doing with this guy, taking him in and all! I am sorry but I unfortunately cannot tell you what the bump above his nose is. I believe you have started in the right direction with the vet visit and just with that have probably given this guy a great new...

Pixel the Panther Chameleon is Sick :(

Yea with my guy and also from what i have read, it seems that once a chameleon reaches a certain point of dehydration they seem to not try at all to drink even if they are "soaked" or surrounded by it constantly. Almost like they are giving up. Im not sure about your situation since im not...

    Juvenile Veiled in Glass Terrarium

I know you go this tank because it may have been convenient and looked like a better option, but hopefully now people can see from your situation that the things people say on here as a group are usually true. I know that people have had and been very successful with glass enclosures, but for...

    Chameleon won't eat

well that could be your problem. I would suggest getting some device (any at this point) to measure your temps. Without the proper temperature their diet can decrease or even worse, you could kill your cham. Good luck!

    5 month old veiled

not sure if this is it but it may help to increase the amount of time you let the mister go off for. If i read it correct you said at least a min? If you only letting it go for around a minute he may not be drinking as much as he would if he had water going for awhile longer. Especially since...

Pixel the Panther Chameleon is Sick :(

First of all sorry your guy is struggling like this but it is refreshing to see owners who are as committed as you are. Im no expert or a long time owner by no means, actually i have only had my chameleon for about 7 months or so. However, during this time it has been my experience with my guy...

    Drizzy scratching like a dog!?

Just like the title is named, I was watching t.v. earlier and i noticed my 16 month old male veiled had is left hind leg pulled up to the side of his head and repeatedly scratching it like a dog! lol it was so funny, i have never seen him do this before and wish i had a camera to show you guys...

    Unusual Behaviour?

I believe it is the size of his cage, he is getting to the point where he is almost full grown or will be there in no time. That cage is much smaller than what is recommended for adult veileds. He needs something almost twice the size of what you got him in. He needs at least a 24x24x48...

    New to Chameleons

You look like u have some pretty good ideas and are doing your research well! The only thing I would stress is that it would be a good idea to get a lay bin going as soon as possible, even if she is a little on the young side, it seems like a handful of folks have been getting caught off guard...

    My veiled stopped eating

They should have drippers at most pet stores for only a few dollars. When i first got my guy and made a dripper i was able to barely poke a hole in the bottom of the cup and make the drip last for a couple of hours. Try poking it with the very tip of the pin and do not push the needle all the...

    Help!!

Im pretty sure wild, captive bred , or fresh out of the womb they will recognize a cricket (depending on the size ) as a possible prey item. who knows very well could be wild or released at a much earlier day for as much as anyone knows.

    Please help my Panther Chameleon

I think what she was saying was that most people dont feed their chams that much food and that is the general understanding amount of food to be given to a healthy cham. Its not surprising that the lil guy is not over-weight because he looks pretty ill right now. If he was in good shape chances...
