I'm pretty sure they can't see each other, I've set blocks up and my other one gets super bright and aggressive anytime he catches a glimpse of the nosy be. I'm going to try putting a flag over the window see how that works.
Hey everyone, so I've recently moved out of my parents house and into my first apartment (will be 2 weeks on Monday) and my pair of male panthers made the move with me. My nosy be has gone through a complete change in temperament, when I was living at home I could handle him almost whenever I...
Hey all, noticed about a week or 2 ago that my cham has, what looks like to me, a swollen gum. I don't know if this is serious or not but it hasn't affected his eating or general behavior at all he is still the same old Huey. I'm thinking maybe a cricket or worm managed to get a bite in on the...
He's biting her because chameleons basically hate every other chameleon and should never be kept together under any circumstances circumstances unless breeding or they're a couple months old
The interior looks good, do you have live plants?
I'd definitely recommend getting a screen enclosure though chameleons do much better with open air flow from all sides.
Also I wouldn't hang the wires inside so as he doesn't climb up them and reach the light, or the opposite and climb on it...
I have 2 young adult male panthers, one at just over a year and the other about a year and a half. The one will only eat free roaming insects and won't eat out my hand to this day (I got him to take a couple worms out of my open palm but never when I'm holding it) I also tried the cup method...
Haha no not call of duty actually not my thing :p
Thought so about the vibrations since that is how most herps work.
There's no vibrations at all he just hangs out in the plant, very relaxed so I'd like to think it's a good way! Thanks for the links also
So I like to take my chams out while I'm playing xbox and put them in a plant next to my chair while I play, to help them get used to being around me while still having some space. I was just wondering if loud noises from a game (gun shots for example) would scare or stress them out?
It's not...
I think you guys are right with that it is just a one time issue of something getting in his eye, but I'll be keeping a close eye on him for the next little while in case it comes back, and if so I'll definitely take him to the local herp vet
I can't upload the pic cuz it's in another thread I posted about this late last night but I only got 1 reply so I thought I'd post again in the middle of the day when more people are looking. The other thread is called "help! Is this an eye infection??"
When I got home last night I noticed what looked like to be sleep in my chams eye, like the stuff that we get in the mornings. When I brought him out and dabbed it with a damp q-tip he immediately began rubbing his eye against my finger and it came out really easily. He seems completely normal...
When I bright him out too look at it he actually rubbed it off on my finger on his own, came out no problem, then put him back and gave him a good mist. He was a little agitated but seemed completely normal otherwise
I noticed some foreign matter in my chams eye and it got me really worried, when I took him out and dabbed at it gently with a q-tip he actually rubbed his eye against my finger and let me help him get it out. It looked kind of like old skin from shedding but he hasn't shed in the month I've...
Ah yes I've seen that name before in my research. Thanks! Well I've been researching since I got my males, still have to get a female and let her settle in for awhile, so I still lots of time to keep researching, preparing and saving money! Lol
Not going to start until I feel 100% confident I...
