I have one of the monsoons. Very bad reviews. Another bad purchase I can't return:mad: The first one I bought didn't work. The second one works, but I don't have my Cham yet, so who knows how long it will last. For the same price you can get the mist king. Wish I had done my home work before I...
I bought one of those last year for my leopard tortoise. It stopped working after a month, I returned it and bought a humidifier instead. I am finding out that most of the reptile stuff sold by zoo med and exo terra is junk if it has working parts. I Unfortunately just figured this out after...
Well, I tried. But I have no receipt, so I am stuck with the monsoon. Because its considered a big ticket item, they would only exchange for the same product, without a receipt  I will use it until it poops out and then I will either make my own, or purchase one of the other ones. I...
I am new to chams. Mine will be shipping out next week. However, I do own tortoises and am on a tortoise forum. The general answer for both chams and torts are not to handle them much if at all. Now that said, I totally feel the opposite. I have handled my tort sense day one. Let him nap on me...
Funny posts:D I don't know which would be toxic either. I had thought about craft glue, but again dk. Maybe aquarium silicone. That shouldn't be toxic. Might try that.i work at an aquarium store, so easy to get. Any other thoughts you or anyone comes up with let me know.:)
I had seen a video with someone making a feeder jug. In the vid, he said to make sure the screen was glued all the way around so the insects could not get behind the screen. He had it happen to him and it did a little damage to his Cham who kept trying to get to it through the screen. Thats why...
I want to make the milk jug feeder. I don't have a glue gun and don't really want to buy one. Is there any other type of glue I can use to secure the screen to the inside of the jug? Or if there is any other ways other then glue to secure it.
Thanks.
Okay. Going to work on returning the monsoon. Should have figured it was no good, when the first one I bought didn't work at all. Will be buying the aquazamp, as it comes all ready to put together. The mistking, unless I'm wrong, you have to supply the bucket and drill holes etc. for 25.00...
Darn it. I guess I should have asked about it before I purchased it. However, I could possibly take it back.
So, you don't mist past 4:15 p.m. Or their bed time? So no misting after they are down for the day I take it.
Also, I use store bought distilled water. Should it be warm, cool, cold...
Bumping this thread as I am trying to figure out the same thing with my monsoon. Mine is for a male veiled, approx 1 yr. old and the monsoon is the only water source. I was going to do every two hours for 4-8 seconds. I live in Chicago, so heat is on. Any suggestions or does this sound okay...
Sounds like what I need. Except, I own and live in a 3 flat apartment building. Roaches are one thing you don't want in your building when your trying to rent out apartments:D I had mentioned them to the hubby already. We have a cricket problem/escape (frogs food) and thought he would like the...
I have no experience in this. I have always bought live food from petco:( So I might want to try this time in raisng my own. What are the easiest, healthiest (for Cham) and how much room do you have to have to do it? Is it easy or very hard? What kind of containers do you use? I only will have...
I belong to a tortoise forum. These coil bulbs are always under debate. The majority of us tort keepers will not take the risk. We also recommend everyone that tells us they are using them, to get rid of them ASAP. There are studies out now, that the regular house hold coil bulbs are even...
