Has anyone seen the kool commercial for valspar paint? It features two panther chameleons. Soooo kool. It was one of the commercials during the "All-Star Apprentice" show. Gotta check it out.
I don't have much experience with chams. However, can you let him free range just while you are there to suppervise? Another idea, buy a fake tree, one with lots of foilage and set it outside is cage and see if he will come out onto that and stay there. Try to get as tall of one as possible...
Congrats. I'm a newb when it comes to chams. I just wanted to tell you about the mistake I made. I got my Cham in January. He was 11 months. I had him about three days then started taking him out every day, just for a short time, so he would get used to me. he never did come to me, seemed...
Just wanted to put out a BIG THANK YOU to forum member Seiryu
Was nice enough to send me a smaller amount of Dubia Roaches, then most will sell, so i could try them to make sure my cham would eat them, before invading my home with them LOL. Great person to deal with, fast shipping, great...
I love Hawaii. You are lucky to live there. Been to Oahu and Kauai. Anyway, hibiscus is native to Hawaii, so should do great. I also believe the chameleons can eat the flowers. Would also love to see pics.
Well, yes you are crazy. Crazy with love for animals/reptiles/chelonian, :D . Too most of the world you are just plain crazy. Too the rest of us (smart people) that are crazy about our animals/reptiles/chelonians, you are very normal. If the others only knew what they were missing. My family...
I'm new at this. However, it doesn't look like any of the branches are right under the light. Maybe a little closer, but directly under, not off to the side.
Great thread. We try to push this all the time on the tortoise forum. We hear ad stories all the time of a mangled tortoise, by the family pet. Even from those whose dog has been around tortoises all their life. But, that one, time still happens and the family pet tortoise is mangled or dead.
He is so adorable. I like his butt rest. It is amazing what they think is comfortable. For his sake, I sure hope he can sleep like that and not loose his grip. Love the resting his head on his foot too. So darn cute.
Thanks, but that is way more then I want to start with. Some will sell as few as 25, but I really don't want that many the first time I try them. My veiled is a year old this month. If I remember correctly, he has never had roaches. I must got him in January. I don't want to get a lot the first...
I am looking for a place to buy like 10 dubia roaches. I don't want a large amount for my first time trying them. I live in and own an apartment building. I can't have a large amount if my Cham wont eat them. Hard to rent an apartment if they think you have roaches. Does anyone know of...
I have a 24x24x6 foot tall enclosure. The inside is a 6 foot fake ficus tree and a real pothos plant. How do you clean off the leaves of the tree? It is pretty full with branches and leaves. I can't see any poop on them, but I'm sure there is. Also, what about the poop that may have fallen...
Okay. This sperm plug, which I have never heard about until I joined this forum. So thank you for grousing me out:p If I don't have a female, only one male, am I going to be seeing this.
Same here, couldn't watch it. Not sure how someone that has lizards as pets, can feed a lizard to their pet. Although, I take it this was not fed to him as much as the little guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time:(
