Crested ceckos are very cool aswell! I personally know the owner of pangeareptile.com and he has some cool cresties and gargoyle geckos. I personally love the dalmation cresties...I had a pair named pongo and perty. Good luck with them, let us know if/when you get them!
I know..I have had a ton of people say that...all I was looking was for a 200 dollar PAS, but I ended up with this. I am not ready to run with the big guys yet :) I am having a hard time figuring mine out. Maybe once I get sick of this one...unless you want to persuade me some more...I have a...
LOL..I love little foot...I use to sleep with a stuffed little foot until I was like 10! :) I have seen like the first 4 movies..then quit!
I'd love to put bugsy in the photo contest, but their are a few things holding me back
1) I have never entered the contest before..so I would have to go...
I was wondering that, but I thought the UV might be too strong, which is why I put them in the 10 gallon. I will definatley move them colser to the UV and move the other. Thanks!
.
They look great! My panther babies didnt eat untill day 3. I was kinda worried myself but everything turned...
They were kept mainly in the lower 70s, but at the begining I had them in a hovabator, and noticed during the first week that even though I had it set at 73, for some reason it got into the 80's, so I just unplugged the incubator, but left the eggs in it. The weird thing is, is that I have 2...
LOL :) I think I may be keeping him, I was going to keep my first hatched, Chester, but I don't want to sell a chameleon that may have future problems, so I will probably just keep him. I sorta hope it is just a phase though...I don't want him to be harassed growing up..:)
No need to apologize...I jumble everything together..I am a very hard person to follow :) He looks normal now, but I haven't seen him eat yet...and no little turds, but he hatched about 1 1/2 days ago..so hopefully soon. I would hate to lose any of them!
I am also interested to see what...
Yes I have seen his right eye close all of the way, so I am assuming his other one can too. I agree it is cute, but I feel bad because I don't know if it is going to cause problems for him. I will probably have to be careful, because he is probably more susceptible to eye infections. Other than...
Hi all! I finally got a new camera...a Nikon Coolpix P80...400 dollars later. I can't believe I spent that much on a camera...but it is an amazing camera I love it. It has 18x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom I believe. Anyone else use this camera?? If so let me know if there are any secrets to...
Alright...so my camera is broke...we are going this weekend to get a new one!! I was so excited, I wanted to post pics of my babies! So can anyone recomend a good camera under $200?? There are only 2 out of the egg so far...and they both like to hang upside down from the mesh..is this okay...
I have heard that ranchers hate them, because their cattle can break their legs if they step in a hole. I agree it is cruel, but I guess better than killing them...? They are very cute :)
I will, I took pictures yesterday, unfortunatly the camera is completly broke...it was 3 years old :( But I am going this weekend to get one...I was excited to post pictures too :( But thanks for the luck!!
My male sambava has shown that too without seeing his female friend, he may have seen something that resembled another male or he just felt like it :) I think it looks so cool when their eyes pattern up like that! My first sambava babies just started hatching yesterday...I can't wait to see them...
When I first set up my herpmist my female panther hissed and bit the nozzle when it first turned on. I was laughing so hard, by the time I found the camcorder she had calmed down... She was perfectly fine, but probably got a mouthful of water :)
Thanks everybody! Actually I am pretty sure the little guy that is out of the egg has been out for a while. He is cruzin around his tank like a little champ. I finally found some FF's at a Petco, and bought some mesh so they couldn't get out of the cage, but he hasn't eaten any yet. I will be...
Hi All!!
Sorry I haven't been on here too much lately..I am getting married in a little over a month, so I have been very occupied with that. But I looked at my eggs that were layed on 11-30-07and saw a slit. So I freaked a little because I had nothing ready for them, so I ran around getting...
I have fed my male some fairly large hornworms...on that note make sure as he lunges for it to take an extra jump backwards...the large ones tend to "squirt" a little farther if you know what I mean ;) But they are soft bodies so I believe the "eye to eye" rule doesn't quite apply, but I would...
Maybe it is just me, but when I bought my male at 3 1/2 months, he was about 3 times the size, are you sure they are 3 months? I don't want to sound mean, just wondering :)
I try to find mine at the monthly reptile shows around here, otherwise you end up paying at least half the cost in shipping. If you have time/energy you could always look into starting your own colony. I believe these are harder than say crickets, but it can be done. The other day I was watering...
When my male had an eye infection I would pull that same looking thing out. It sorta looks like a cloudy contact lens right? I think it is a build up of bacteria, or pus like stuff. I would make sure to mist him for a while, because he will naturally clense his eye, and also a vet visit if...
