No needles no injections!!
Please easier to simply feed your crickets or other feeders healthy greens such as kale, carrots and the like. This is called gut loading your feeders. They eat it and then the cham eats them
No need to feed liquid calcium by mouth to a healthy chameleon. Just make...
They have to ingest it. Drink it or eat it.
You can not just put it on their skin.
Also when you do give it with a syringe or eyedropper.
PLEASE be careful to only put a drop or two on the tongue at a time.
You can get it in their lungs and kill them if you force a lot of liquid at once in...
Hi
Jannb has a great blog on this
Also if he is a biter. try using green rubber dipped garden gloves at first when you get him out.
This hides your hands and will put you more at ease as to not be bitten.
Less tension on both sides.
I have attached a photo of these gloves if you decide...

Thanks Leaf,
The little red wigglers are available from Armstrong crickets( where I get my crickets) and I was curious if they were ever a food source for chams. Like posted earlier I would a little afraid of any that I found out in my yard for parasite or chemical issues.
So true!
But where else can one discuss issues with breeders. This is the only chameleons forum Let me repeat, the ONLY forum devoted to chameleons and nothing else.
The mods have to balance if a conversation here does cross the line of civility but I have read some pretty vicious threads on...
Some long time members will discuss these kind of issues in private. Bravo to them and they know who they are!!
Others just ignore then and refer them to the BOI.
To take legal action any vendor usually will cost more than the price of the animals and I am sure these offenders know this.
If...
No answers about earthworms?
I have never given these as food to my chams but a friend from another site asked if they could be used as chameleon food
Said I didn't know and would ask.
BOI does nothing that I can see. Please tell me otherwise.
Do any of you go there before you make a purchase? Or do you look at this forums for sale posts or sponsor list and make the purchase assuming everything is approved.
I have had a problem in the past with a vendor. When I tried to...
Why fake plants. Live is better all around for several reasons.
1) More natural environment
2) If spare crickets get hungry they don't bite chams they eat plants
3) They allow drip cup and mister water excess a place to go.
4) There are several variety that also vine and trellis and can be...
I know bunny/PCD
Mine a re the same way.
I hear about keepers that never handle their animals and that is just foreign to me.
My chams know when I am near that door that they will have their chance. Right up the arm and onto the shoulder. Of course I just keep doing what-ever it is I was doing...
Hi Carol,
I agree and they also tend to draw whiteflies
Of course you can't use pesticide to get rid of this and they are too small for a cham to eat.
Beautiful but have been a problem indoors
I use jasmine vine now. They climb and flower and never seem to get tyhe pests
I've seen other dining room cabinets that have been converted but never one so thought out.
Really turned out nice.
Now can you just come to PA and build one for me too : )
Thanks Steve
I live in the country too.
I will watch my chams like a hawk Oh no wait.... that doesn't sound right
Seriously I never leave them alone unless they are in the retrofitted ferret cage I have set up with plants.
Thanks for the heads up
Thanks Olympia,
I agree completely.
I like the idea of removing the entrants name but people will still have favorites by breed, rarity, whether or not the photo was natural or staged etc, as you said yourself.
I do understand how some must feel however entering over and over and not getting...
