should i unmount the light i have it above the cage attached to wall so it doesnt touch to avoid burns thats probably why it looks so bright and then go with a smaller bulb?

so i have a branch just eight inches under 75watt heatlamp. is that proper or is there a better setup? he doesnt seem to interested in it. so im wondering if im doing it wrong or what any of u do thanks.
Good job on getting him out of there theres a local shop that buys them from PETCO in my town just to get them out of that horrible place then they sell them for less just so they can make sure they have a caring home
